Alternators That Never Were...

So many of us love the Alternators line, I got to thinking, if the line were to continue, what character/vehicle combos would work well. I'm not going to list vehicles that are known to be off limits (i.e. VW Bug for Bumblebee). Here's what I came up with:

Bumblebee & Cliffjumper - Audi TT or Mini Cooper
Brawn - Jeep Commander
Ironhide / Ratchet - Hummer H2
Gears - Nissan Titan
Windcharger - Dodge Charger Daytona RT
Trailbreaker - Honda Element

Ultra Magnus (anime) - Ford Lightning
Springer - Nissan 350Z
Kup - Chevrolet SSR
Arcee - Toyota Celica
Blurr - Toyota MR2 Spyder
Wheelie - SmartCar (just for sh*ts & giggles)

If any of those that I listed are off-limits, let me know.

What ideas does everyone else have?

Beachcomber - BRP Spyder

I'm sad to keep reading that the Alternator line seems to be over?

What do you mean off limits? Is it really true that some of the Auto Manufacturers didn't want Binaltech/Alternators made of their cars because they didn't want their vehicles to be depicted fighting? Too bad we don't see Porsche, Ferarri, Lamborghani, BMW, Mercedes-Benz

Range Rover Sport - Brawn / Outback
Aston Martin - Dragstrip / Springer
Hummer H3 - Ironhide / Octane
Lotus Exige - BeachComber / Bombshell
Acura NSX - Breakdown / Shrapnel / Punch-Counter Punch
Nissan 350 Z - Wildride / Streetwise
Honda Ridgeline - Huffer / Blitzwing
Cadillac CTS-V - Starsceam / Thundercracker / Skywarp
Cadillac XLR - Megatron / Galvatron
Cadillac Escalade - Trailbreaker / Inferno / Hot Spot
Lincoln LT - Hoist / Slag
Lincoln Navigator - Grapple / First Aid
*Special Edition Style*
Kenworth Semi - Motormaster / Ultra Magnus / Onslaught
(Make this one so that you can get a trailer and it will be able to transport your alternators)

I think the ulitmate would be if they made a special edition of stunticons where they fit together and formed Menasor

Or they made Alternator Constructicons that formed Devastator. Can you imagine a fully posable HUGE Devastator?

The possibilities....are endless....then if you got the manufacturers of Aircrafts you could have Alternator Planes, Helicopters, Tanks.....oh man....you could even cross-mix them and have

Bruticus
Superion
Defensor

I have to stop, I've been working on this post for nearly an hour....

I beleave that min-cooper was sold to one of german auto company so they can't use him as transformer. But everyother one of your idea sounds cool it just that hasbro doesn't want to spend the money to lience real world cars anymore, or atleast that what they said at bot-con if remember article I read on here.

Prowl would have been much better suited as a 2006 Dodge Charger...some states are actually using them as police cars...plus I drive one and I want my car to be a Transformer, demmit!

The best car for Trailbreaker would be the Dodge pickup used for Prime and Nemesis.

It's got almost exactly the same looks and transformation as its G1 counterpart.

Let me add that Suzuki Swift fits Bumblebee nicely. Just like the Classics Bumblebee. Its unknown-car alt mode looks very close to Swift.

I'd say an Element is too weak for Trailbreaker. Why not a BLACK Chevy Trailblazer SS?

The Escalade is a great idea, but the trailblazer name is just too cool for him!

The Dodge SRT-10, eh ... my least favorite mold of this line. No leg articulation whatsoever. The upper body is great though. It had potential, but what they ended up with here is kinda lame IMHO.

I can kinda see his logic, but being a german manufacturer, its unlikly theyd wanna have their car depeicted as a transforming soldier.

Some of these are great suggestions, some not.

Some would never happen b/c the cars are out of production.

For example, the Celica and MR2 Spyder are out of production, and the Commander will be out of production after the next model year. It's a flop.

My suggestions...
Trailbreaker- Chevy Avalanche
Springer Saleen S7
Brawn- Hummer h2 SUT version
Arcee- Mazda Miata/MX5
Blur- Lotus Elise
Wheelie- golf cart....or urinal...
Ironhide as an H2'd be cool, but get Ratchet back to being a legitimate ambulance.

Since hasbro has the mold already they could just make everyone a Mustang GT. I'm fine with that.. :HEADHURTS:

Seriously:
Tailgate: '72 Chevy Nova
Windcharger: '69 Pontiac Firebird
Sideswipe (AGAIN!):2007 Shelby GT500
Sunstreaker: 2007 Shelby GT500
Grimlock: '69 Boss 302 (Mustang)
Bumblebee: 2007 Dodge Carger Daytona
Wheelie:..who...cares...
Dragstrip: Modified Chevy El Camino Dragter
Kup: Ford F-150
Slag: 69 Dodge Charger
Sludge: 70 Dodge Challenger
Swoop: Firebird Formula

That's it.

Nice! Vintage musclecars are a predictable yet AWESOME idea. Of course a Superbee "would" have to be considered for BB.

Methinks it's just a matter of time before this happens.

I din't think they had the new charger Super Bee.

I would like to see some non-commercial vehicle alternators.

Warpath: M551 Sheridan(or whatever the current day equivalent is)

Seaspray: Maybe a SR-N6

Maybe the Seekers or(be still my heart) a triple-changer could make an appearance as well.

I realize that this is really just wishful thinking on my part, and probably not practical in the least, but dernit it would be awesome!

Wishful thinking that's awesome. Never thought of that.

Ahh...the triple changers....

There's a slew of european vehicles that could be used as well.

First off, we need a hummer.. something to look hefty compared to Optimus..
Then.. for there are a gazillion small hatchbacks that could be used for bumblebee as a Peugeot 206 and cliffjumper a Renault Clio and the like.
Then there's the MPV section that has a bad name because of skids, but I could use a ratchet myself.

I'd also love to see smaller Alternators, based on platforms like Toyota Aygo, Peugeot 107 and Citroën C1. this way you can use the same mold, replace the logo and satisfy us that like to complain about the re-use of aforementioned molds.

Jazz in a Porsche will be awesome.

I think there was one planned, but never reached production.
