My little collection...

I'm really not the biggest toy collector. My oldest figures are the Beast Wars ones. I once had almost all of them (only missing 3 figures!), but I had to sell pretty much everything. I Needed cash and space, and my girlfriend was not fan of my little hobby. So, I sold pretty much everything, only kept my favorites. And when the movie came out, I just fell right back in it. I bought one movie figure just for fun, and then went on buying more.

The figures I don't have are the figures I don't want. As I was lucky enough to find everything I really wanted, even the little sucker known as 08 bumblebee. I missed the whole Alternators line though. I'm really upset about that, but the Cybertron and Armada lines really got me out of even wanting any transformers. So I never really knew anything about the Alternators before it was too late. If only they got out this year...

Anyway, this is it, my little collection. Nothing fancy, no G1, no Classics nothing like that. But some rare figures anyway. So enjoy ! They're all posing for the camera !

Pic 1 : Megs and Primes. A little evolutinon thing if you want.
Image

Pic 2 : My favorites from the BW line. To each their own, but these are really cool lookin. (and were badass in the show...)
Image

Pic 3 : I never really liked those, but no one bough them so, they stayed with me. And now, I like these little suckers.
Image

Pic 4 : Movie line part 1 : Autobots. Well, what can I say on those, they're great looking, they're fun to mess around with and I was able to grab them while there was that toysrus promotion back in july. I think I saved $40 on my movie toys. Good deal.
Image

Pic 5 : Movie Decepticons. Before you all wonder what's going on there with Blackout, I just did some photoshop magic on him, I just wanted to see it in a Leader class size. Or at least a decent Voyager class. And he looks great. I want a friggin Leader Blackout. So, as for Starscream, well, I like the guy. He's great when posed correctly. That's my favorite pose for him, just glorious looking over a fallen Ironhide. That way, he doesn't have those chicken legs, and doesn't look all that fat.

You gave up part of your hobby for your girl?

I know it sounds nerdy, but I would've given up the girl. No woman who can't appreciate all my quirks deserves to be my woman.

Love man, love... They know how to manipulate you. These cunning creatures. Gotta love them. And I needed money. I got alot of $$$ for those. I think I made a good $500-$600 selling them. So it was not that bad. I do regret it today, but it was that or not having my beloved car...

Nice little collection you have goingon there. You may not be too too late for the alternaters. I still see them in Walmarts here and there. Within the last 2 weeks I have seen Skids, Riccochet, Rumble, Ravage, Rollbar and Prime.

I think hasbrotoyshop wtill has some as well.

Yeah I saw some here and there too. But the ones I really want are nowhere to be seen. Internet is my last option for those, but Ebay is a big no-no for me. I hate Ebay, well, more the dudes selling their Alternators at $80...

I was quite lucky.. I mean.. I kept my love for transformers in the background but after the movie she completely turned around. she's helping me scout for rare Tf's (she found a misb book reissue-0 prime last night!) and helps me sell off my old or double stuff..

But seriously.. if she can't appreciate your hobby's .. she's not looking for you.

Nah its not like that at all. We're talking about toys here. TOYS, even if for some its more than that, I still consider those little gems as toys..

Great for you. I wish my girl was like that too. Oh well. But to come back on the ''she's not worth it if she can't appreciate me with all my funny sides'' thing, well, all I can say is that she's really worth it. I do care for a human beign way more than I care for toys.

It wasn't that much of a deal between us, but she told me that she wasn't that glad that OUR room was filled with transformers. I had nowhere else to put them, and the money I got from the toys was just what I needed for a car I wanted. So I do regret the lost of my beloved toys, but I still have my girl with me, I have a nice car and with that nice car, I got a pretty nice job. So in the end, it wasn't too bad.

Yeah..it's nothing personal but now I know that the girl that doesn't mind me playing with Prime with only my shorts on will be the same one helping me clean my diapers when I'm 75.

Ehehe, yeah... I guess you have a point there. But that is the last of my worries for now. For as long as we don't get married, I think that we'll do fine.

With that nice job, you'll soon crank up enough dough to buy new Transformers.

Not a bad deal, indeed!

I do have enough money to buy myself some MPs and Alternators, the problem is to find them, and then to buy them at a reasonable price. As I said, I'm not considering Ebay as a good place to search for good stuff.

Wow Fury, if only you had decided you wanted all this like 3 months ago, it would have been so much easier. :?

Thanks for the links. I knew about Toy-wave, great site to buy Tfs really, only problem is, everthing is solding out pretty fast. But thanks for your help.

Yeah I know. But was the movie out 3 months ago ? Like alot of guys here, I got back into Tfs thanks to the movie. The Cybertron, energon and armada shows really got me out of Tfs, so I missed alot because of that.

what would be a maximum price for a MP fury?

The prices at Toy-wave are really what I'm looking for. Now that the Canadian dollar is just as strong as the american one, paying $125 USD for a MP is ok with me even if I saw some Mps $100 a while back. But you can't find those anymore, so the cheapest for now is $125. I wouldn't want to pay $150 for example. Now $25 is not that much of a deal, but I hate buying stuff overpriced. $125 is pretty much what I'm willing to pay. I'm not in a urge to get my hands on rare Tfs like Mps. But if I can, I sure will grab some. Ebay has dudes selling Mps at $250 and the likes. Never will I buy a toy at that price. Even if its a sweet MP Prime.
