I just got the Gold Variant Vector Prime. Thus far he's looking to be a decent figure, if a bit simplistic for a Voyager. One thing really concerns me however:

His sword seems to be made out of soft "I'll irreparably bend out of shape under my own weight" kind of plastic, rather than Hasbro's usual hard plastic.

Is this true, or does it just feel similar to the former soft plastic?

If anyone can help me, I'd still like to know if anyone has had problems with Galaxy Force Vector Prime's sword. But for the interim, it appears Laser Optimus Prime's sword will do nicely, even if it is a little on the short side.

no all the hasbro vector primes are made out of the soft safety plastic. Even the Botcon Exclusive Alpha Trion.

My gripe is it warps too easy.

Thanks! And...that's what I figured. It's very annoying, especially since soft plastic or not, I guarantee you that the point of the sword is still sharp enough to "put an eye out."

Oh well. Fortunately, Laser Prime's sword doesn't look too bad as an alternative.
