A small rant...

Is anyone else here severely pissed off at the way Hasbro and the retail stores have been handling the Transformers movie toys? Seriously, anyone with a half-working brain could have known that the concept Camaro Bumblebee was going to be hot. But no one has it or any other toys around me, and at Massachusettes where I was for July. I went to a KMart the other day and there was not ONE deluxe Transformer there. Everywhere I go all I see is this little red car that is in the movie line but not in the movie (in the game though). Why don't these stores wake up and get new stuff in? Obviously they aren't selling much now cuz they bought all the figures before the movie came out and flooded their shelves with them, and now there is an abundance of figures no one wants sitting there taking up space for new figures. Oh, and then I go to eBay and see that there are a bunch of the deluxe concept camaros. Maybe that's another reason I can't find one. Cuz the damned scalpers hogged them all up! Scalpers are one group of people I have no love for. If we have any on this site, and you read this, I hope you leave a Transformer on the floor, slip over it, and snap your neck so you can rid this world of yourself and free up some stuff for true collectors and fans.

Rant off. Any thoughts?

I feel the same way about not finding the 2008 Concept Camaro Bumblebee. I ended up ordering the 2-Pack from Target. It's got the battle damage look, but I'm fine with that. Hopefully it'll show up in 4-6 weeks! And in the mean time I can stop ACTIVELY searching for it.

Wow. Who would have thought that the summers BIGGEST BLOCKBUSTER film would sell SO much merchandise!?

Look, supply cannot keep up with demand, it's how it goes for popular lines like this, now stop moaning & deal with it.

And who would have thought it would be two people with below ten posts who agree with this thread... But hey, we've all got to start somewhere...

In the UK we have almost nothing, no K-mart, no Walmart, no Target, no huge malls, toy stores are few & don't have anything interesting, but at least most towns have a TRU somewhere near. TRU Is too far away for me to go every time I get a tenner & no where else has anything except for Protoforms & Blackout/Ratchet.

DUDE! I went to target the other day, and there wasn't even a Fast Action Battler! And some stupid kid was crying to his Grandmother because apparently she controlled the Transformers inventory! Worst 3 minutes of my Horrible life!

The official line is that something is delaying production in China.
Probably trying to figure out how to get more poison into it. :grin:

Oh, and by the way;

Judging by the empty shelves... not Hasbro and the retailers who ordered in advance?

Or you could say fuggit and buy it off of Ebay...$30 later it's sitting on my shelf and lookin' all kinds of awesome!

Sure you could drive to the toy stores every day but gas prices the way the are you'd probably burn through 50 bucks before you actually found one sitting on the shelves...

I'm glad that Hasbro is teaching people the virtue of patience.

More like the virtue of Ebay.

I kind of wish I had just ordered him there to begin with, as I figure I've spent at least $25 on gas driving around on my lunch break with the AC cranked up. Oh well, this is supposed to be fun, right?

...Right?
