When its toyline was awesome? Did the show not live up to expectations or something?

No offence, but if you have to ask, you obviously never watched the shoe.

The show wasn't put together as well. The kids were even more annoying than the Armada one(I couldn't believe that was possible), potentially cool characters totally ruined(Scourge anyone?), incoherent plot, lackluster story telling, poor character development, force fitting it into the Unicron Trilogy. Those were the reasons I disliked it. There were a couple of good episodes, but over all, it was the worst of the Unicron Trilogy.

I liked it overall, but I did have some problems that could have been fixed.

It was a bit slow paced. The plot was enough to MAYBE fill half as many episodes as it ran.

I didn't mind tons of stock animation footage, but I didn't like that they filled in this footage with voiceovers. In the Galaxy Force version of the show you'd just heart "Galaxy Convoy SUPER MODE!" then the transformation would just have music - whereas in Cybertron he'd say something like "Optimus Prime SUPER MODE! I'm gonna get you Megatron, you will never get away with your evil plans, and as soon as I end my long boring speech during this stock footage I'll be knocking you all the way back to Cybertron!" They just couldn't keep their voices quiet.

While they did have great animation models and skins, the actual movement in fight scenes usually ended up having them ruch at each other and punch each other in the fist, there would be an explosion, and one of them would fall down. Lousey animation.

Also, they had a bad habit of going all "loony toons" here and there. Floating hearts, dancing with fans, double takes.

Additonall I think they wacky ethnic voices were over done. Suddenly many the TFs had thick bad British, Australian, Scottish and Texan accents. Sure G1 had them, but they were never that thick.

Plus the general annoying children and beeping silly Mini-Cons thing seems more popular in Japan than in the US. It was not as bad as Armada, but it had some of that.

Cybertron was a stupid show

Primus having to depend on Optimus to save him?

Megatron threatning a planet sized being???

Plus them depending on those lame ass kids to help??

I like the UT. But I think Energon was the weakest.

what on earth are you talking about? That's why I'm asking. I hear bad things more than good things. Either it was good or it wasn't for you. So it'd be nice to hear an answer.

seconded, the dubbed voice overs of the entire Unicron Trilogy hurt my brain.

I had the privelege of seeing Michael Bell at the recent Toronto Transformerscon, he said that when you record voices for a show that originally aired in another language, you only have a set time to say the individual lines. This is because the animation is already complete, therefore you have to deliver your line within a window so the animated mouth would more or less match.

Trying to give emotional, well delivered dialogue like this is nearly impossible. The result for TF is the english dub of the Unicron trilogy.

That is one of the great things about the new animated transformers show, english will be the original language, therefore voice acting comes first, animation can then be added to flow with the voice actors performance.

It wasn't that bad... just a few minor errors. Though I can' say it was good either.

Yeah it kinda sucked. Toys rocked though. And Galaxy Force was super happy fun time. Kicked the **** out of Cybertron.

I loved Cybertron. It was the best series of the trio. People just don't like it because "IT'S NOT G1 ENOUGH! BLEH!"

That, and people just like to whine about the slightest imperfection.

The futuristic elements were pretty cool I suppose. At least it didn't degenerate into a Gundam Seed Destiny.

I hear that. Thing is, most of the problems with Cybertron (annoying humans, poor dialogue and crappy animation) were all present in G1 anyway.

Other than that, Cybertron was pretty awesome.
