i have two FAB's, Frenzy and Ratchet. i got ratchet because Walgreens was clearing them out for a couple bucks... and its pretty lame, truly. but I put that thought aside, and went back for frenzy, because, really, thats probably the closest we'll get to a proper frenzy action figure.... and its quite decent. more elaborate than a FAB should be (but not quite on par with the rest of the movie toys). i reccomend frenzy, just know that its not movie-accurate at all, and while i'm impressed with how little kibble there is in bot mode (the front "shatters" and is split so many ways you can't see whats what on the arms and legs), at the same time, there's two HUGE chunks of kibble on the back.

They are fine for my kids, but some of the toys have some serious drawbacks for adult collectors. Starscream, for example, can't lift his head up straight.

Frenzy is tooo out of scale. I pass on that each time I see it.

I think they are more for 8-10 years kind of stuff. Thats why they are in some ways less detailed and more quality in material.

I have the bumblebee fast action battler cuz it was so hard to find the deluxe. It is good enough for me, but I'm 13.

I bought and returned FAB Frenzy, I just can't stand how those things look. I guess I'm too old to enjoy stuff that looks like that. :-( (I'm 20 btw)

Like what, like a toy? :???:

I only own two FABs Blackout and Frenzy, Frenzy is certainly cool enough, and I enjoy Blackout, but I have not wanted to purchase any of the others.

Apparently Power Hook Optimus Prime is pretty cool.

Megatron and Brawl look awesome - it seems like they got more weapons than the Autobots.

FAB Brawl is really nice. He may be simple, but his automorph thing is simple but very effective and nice, and he has a MUCH better articulation than any of the other FABs that I have seen.

Starscream is utter pants.

Thats the two FABs I have. I'll probably pick up Frenzy when he comes out, cant see myself picking up any of the other FABs.

I have Jazz, Ratchet, and Frenzy. Frenzy is the only one I really like. That said, if I spot a Blackout or Barricade, I'll buy it, since I don't ahve any of either of them yet.

You won't get Barricade. Trust me. I thought I was going to collect all things Barricade. This stopped me in my 'tracks' so to speak.

Did they not make a Barricade? I was kind of disappointed by his deluxe, I wouldn't mind taking a look at his FAB if they made it.

I'd stay away from Frenzy. The Transformation just conpromises his robot mode too much. If you liked the movie design, there's nothing really of it in that toy. Not to mention his stereo mode looks like it's gotten into a fight with Wolverine(or maybe I shouldn't be giving Marvel ideas).

Just wait for the Robot Replica, which should be close to 100% accurate.

From the FABs I have Brawl and Ironhide. Brawl is better than his deluxe, and has much nicer colours than his Leader version. Ironhide is more solidly built than the Voyager, and is obviosuly cheaper. He's bigger than most deluxes too.

If you had to substitute figs for FABs, I'd substitute Ironhide. His FAB is quite nice and not too terribly out of scale(he's a small pickup now instead of a big one).

Nope they made one. You'll be even more disappointed by the FAB if you see it.

In my opinion, no, I have a couple and I'm not that impressed. They are larger and somewhat more detailed than the deluxe class, but otherwise...

However, if you're shopping for someone of a younger age, I realy think these are a good entry level item for younger fans.

I have FAB Ratchet and Brawl.
FAB Brawl is better than the Deluxe version.

Both are very well made, are solid and would easily survive "jumps" off of high shelves. Both also have excellent paint apps, something the main movie line cannot say. Transformations are over-simple, and the robot modes are a tad blockier because of it, but not so much that they are not worth buying. My FAB Ratchet is a stand in for Voyager Ratchet, until I can get the G1 repaint version.

I cannot vouch for the other FAB's but if they are made half as well as Brawl or Ratchet, then they are almost certainly worth a purchase.
