alright, I am not quite positive if this has been discussed before, but is there a release date for Evac, and anything else coming out later this year? is it possibly october 15, because it says on the side of the one shot that i have seen of it as the copters number 1015-07. coincidence?

Let us hope that this, surprise surprise, repaint disguised as an original idea never gets released.

IMHO

why shouldnt it be released? I mean, I'm not normally a big fan of repaints, but this one I am excited for.

Yeah and it's not just a repaint - it's got a different, friendlier head sculpt, and comes with a rescue dinghy instead of Scorponok! An excellent Autobot if you ask me.

not only a good autobot by himself, I plan on getting two and repainting one of them to be a Springer.

I hope Evac and many of the other Allspark Power TFs are released later this year. I'd hate to have to wait until 2008 to get my hands on them. I personally think Evac is awesome. I love the Blackout mold and I think it looks good repainted as an Autobot. I also like how they put a life boat in where Scorponok was on Blackout. Very cool idea.

Maybe next year there will be a Leader Protoform Prime, repainted Leader Megatron, and Supreme Class Blackout!

If that ever came true I would have a very happy time. Very, very happy.

If that ever came true I would (figuratively) orgasm.

This is a pg rated site. Please replace that word with...Erector or something.

 Erector is better than that?

Maybe I'll just change the word altogether if it bothers you guys so.

Cop. Out.

Yeah, and maybe one day people will develop a critical eye, when considering what we buy and sell. Jeez.

Incidentally why would there be a Protoform Megatron? He maintained a Cybertronian form through-out.

Gulla-N0085...

:APPLAUSE:

What's your problem with me? I'm not taking well to your sarcasm at all. I never mentioned a Protoform Megatron where did I say that? I wanted a Protoform, ergo Cybertronian, PRIME. Read what you quoted, Braniac.

How is what I said a cop out? The current Leader Megatron is ****, how could you not want a better figure? You got any nice ideas for better figures smart guy?

Critical eye? you couldn't even get past my post. :APPLAUSE: Great work. All assertions, no argument, and completely misread my post. I have yet to know why I'm such a gullible noob. Don't take me for an idiot.

Hehehe... I like what he said. As for Evac, I'm so totally stoked same as you. Blackout was my favorite from the movie and I felt guilty for favoring a decepticon, but with Evac coming out I'm excited, because now I can have my cake and eat it too!! :P

I apologise I misread what you said, also I apologise for my shockingly curt tone and manner it was first thing in the morning for me, the sun hurting my eyes and the coffee yet to kick in.

(:|

To be honest I'm inclined to agree with you on the Leader Scale Protoform Prime, the preview figure was nice but something that evokes the sheer scale and firepower of Cybertronian Prime as illustrated by IDW artwork and the prequel novel. Or, as much of it as I've read...

Image

Leader Megatron, isn't all that bad I mean look at the Voyager class figure...

:P

It is kinda telling though, when a £2.99 legend figure of meg's generally looks better than a £40 with extrenuous wings, arm appendages and groin flaps, or a £20 one with half the jet form hanging of it's arm.

At the end of the day I'm not angry at you guys, I'm angry for you. I think we as fans and collectors deserve better than endless repaints regardless of remolds and accessories, and for me the only way of letting Hasbro know this is through sales or a lack thereof.

:???:

But at the end of the day, if Autobots are your guilt free aesthetic choice for collection then fair play, go get 'em guys and girls!

:-P

Fair deal, since you acknowledged in good grace I'll drop it.

See it's funny, I think our opinions are the opposite way round - most people DON'T want a Leader Cybertron Prime, it's just a thing I've always raved about because I am a fan of his Cybertronian form. I acknowledge designers will have to be really creative with his alt. mode, because no one will pay for an enlarged version of the current Protoform Prime we have. No one. Even I would be hesitant. Perhaps his alt. mode can be a Cybertronian truck, much like how Megatron's is a Cybertronian jet. It can't be a comet/space sperm mode.

And by contrast, me and a few other people sincerely think a new Megatron in the Leader/Supreme class is justified. Seriously. Compare Leader Prime and Leader Megs. It's obvious who was the flagship toy and who was more carelessly designed. What's worse, at the crucial time when the new Megatron aesthetic has potential of attracting converts, Hasbro had to make the toy mediocre and not really like the movie incarnation. And one thing Voyager Megs beats Leader Megs in? A fusion cannon in its entirety, and one that actually does something instead of doing a bizarre outwards extension.

Basically, if I had my own way, there wouldn't be a repaint of Megatron - there'd be entirely NEW Megatron. One with less gimmicks, with a proper flail, a REAL combining fusion cannon, no gay pink spikes, a proper paint job, and a decent interpretation of the Cybertronian jet mode. Just picture it in your head - walking into the store one day and finding 'Allspark Power' Megatron Leader Class in bronze colour with two halves of the fusion cannon on each arm, and a flail that doesn't drop limply out of the compartment - and the jet mode has little kibble. Wouldn't that rock?

I don't like repaints in general either, and honestly, only Evac and g1 redeco Jazz are the only ones in this movie line I am gonna get (although I got 3 of the exclusive scouts - I regret getting Signal Flare). And the Bumblebee - Cliffjumper repaint is just silly (unless they changed the head mold, then I'll get it).

With the Autobots I have (see sig) - they are seriously wicked toys, and scale-wise they complement each other awesome, but the Decepticons deserve better, I don't care about Bonecrusher/Wreckage, but I do care bout Blackout and Megs. New figures? I'd love new figures, I think no one disagrees on this one.

And slightly more on topic, I remember Cybertron Evac had an outrageously high rank on his tech spec, like 9 or something. Will the tech specs be the same on this movie redeco?

I'd love a more high-ranking Autobot. Then again I might have remember wrong and that would suck.
