I was reading on the internet that Thrust, Ramjet, Ratchet and Ironhide were available in Japan as exclusives some years back.

How were they obtainable? were they TRU exclusives or something?

will Hasbro take those molds and reissue them?

You're out of luck. They were Japanese exclusive reissues back in 2000 & 2001 if I'm not mistaken. They were not and are not TRU exclusives. They were available from import shops and on-line retailers that imported Japanese product.

Hasbro is done with the reissue line as of the Reissue Soundwave in the Classic packaging.

It's really too bad because with those reissues only having been made a few years ago the molds to make those figures are probably still in good shape and usable. If Takara/Tomy and or Hasbro were smart they'd make those reissues with the popularity of Transformers coming back in a big way.

The only way you can obtain those figures is through ebay provided that someone who has those figures is willing to sell them on ebay. And be prepared to pay a hefty price for each of those figures too.

Thrust, Ramjet usually sell for $150-250 for the Japanese versions(the Japanese versions of Dirge,Thundercracker, and Skywarp usually sell in that range as well). Ratchet and Ironhide usually sell in the $100-150 range. And I have been saying since the movie was announced that they should at least make reissues for the characters that are in the movie. I think Hasbro had Ironhide, Thrust and Ramjet planned in their next waves of reissues before the line was cancelled. Shame...

Perhapse sell them in a 2 pack, with the old and new one together? That would've been good, it could've shown how much the toys have changed and how far technology has advanced. (articulation wooh!)

It'd also show how much they've ignored the origanal charecter and (in the case of ironhide n ratchet) how bad the old toy was.

In short, It'll never happen.

Stupid Hasbro.....sitting on their asses just using the Dirge mold. If they weren't so lazy, they'd make Ramjet & Thrust to complete the Seekers. Sunstorm I'm not to worried about. Me say Hasbro full of cesium salami

considering the fact they just made some of their biggest profits ever (? right?), they should take a chance and re-hash the reissues...I still don't know why Taktomy gave it up? Were they not selling well anymore in Japan? At least it seems like that k.o company in Korea/China will be making some reissues(albeit at a slower pace). And I am happy they are doing it, no offense to those who disagree with the ko makers.....(eagerly awaits some more k.o cassetes, and reflector to come in the mail)...

I skipped over most of the US re-issues due to the fact they slightly changed the molds due to US safety laws.
