I know we have all done this at one point or another in our transformers toy collecting hobby. I was hoping to hear some interesting stories it could be a win off ebay or something you bought from a on-line store that looked great at the time and really expensve but when got you thought to yourself damm that wasn't woth it. I thought these stories might help people new to collecting avoid the same mistakes you have made.

I'll give it a good home. Hand it over. No need for you to hold on to hated toys. Nobody should have to deal with the bad vibes. Send 'em all this way.
Seriously.
I don't regret any of them now. I often have buyer's remorse right after the purchase when they get shelved, but I end up lovin' later on, so it's all good!

When Beast Machines came out.. I bought a Mega Cheetor...
that still gives me nightmares to this day...
I don't regret getting Voyager Blackout, but I will regret it massively if a Leader/Supreme class one ever gets released.

Masterpiece Starscream. First because it highly diappointed me, since the joints were too tight and the plastic felt so fragile, and second because of the US version which will both be in 'toon colors and about $30 cheaper than what I paid.

Ugh. Definitely Titanium Soundwave for me. Complete crap and I can only display it in tape deck mode since it won't freaking stand up on its own.

$250.00 for a Black Battle Convoy from Car Robots off a friend of mine in 2000. He went to Japan for a week and blew a metric ton of money. While he was still there he found out his girlfriend was pregnant and they were going to need all that money he blew. I bought it off him because at the time Hasbro had no plans to release a Scourge over here and I was going to come out on top in the long run right? Next thing you know it's a TRU exclusive. The real kicker?
I worked at fracking Toys R Us.
Don't get me wrong, I love the figure. Top three favorite on every list I make. I prefer it over the US version. But, man, was I burned on that.

Well, you did help a friend so that's good, right?

C Metroplex, £40 is a LOT to spend on a huge pile of plastic junk.
C Primus. Great toy, dont get me wrong, but I had managed to avoid temptation for WELL OVER A YEAR before I finally broke down and bought him. A week later TrU fecking halved his price. DAMNIT!

Most of my Binaltechs and Alternators. After a while, they all look the same to me (except for Hound, Swindle and Shockblast) and I'm so terribly bored of them as display pieces.

No, I did it to bail a friend out. He dug himself a hole. He spent every penny he had in like 4 days over there, ignoring things like rent and bills that were due when he got back, let alone what he was going to do for the rest of the trip. He screwed himself and I only gave him even a penny because of the situation he and his girlfriend were in.
Still, freakin' sweet toy!

Wow... seams meet poorly, surfaces casted poorly, poopy paintjob, butt-ugly animal, MISMATCHED colors among parts that are supposed to be the same color...

Not to get off topic but moon is the stupidest transformer I have ever seen, and I have seen some stupid transformers during my time collecting them.

Roadfire. G1, MIB, slightly yellowing, for $200+. I was not impressed with the toy. The yellowing I could handle 'cause my Sonic Bomber was really yellowed.
However, I saw a loose Roadfire with stix applied and still white sold for less than $50 last week on eBay. Sure I have the weapon , micromaster, box, instrux, and sticker sheet, but I paid $200+...err...
At least I can make big powered...

Couple of times, bought toys just before they went on sale, but what can you do...
Other than that, I think the worst was when I spent about $60 for a JRX with missing weapons... it was cool, but then I realized I really wanted a complete one. So I ended up selling it and buying another boxed one, and lost about $30 on the whole thing. I suppose that's not much in the grand scheme, but I felt kind of stupid because I should've just bought a complete one in the first place. And $30 is like another whole figure!

Ultimate bonehead for me was the WalMart Ultra Magnus 89.99 plus shipping of like 20.00 on top of it the box got smashed when shipping.
