Hi, new guy here..
Recently got back into transformers, having played with them for most of my childhood (mom threw em out later)
I've started rebuilding my collection.. Classics line are awesome by the way..
Anyhow I got the voyager movie Ironhide and even though it looks amazing in vehicle mode i've tried my hand at transforming it. And.. well either i'm a retardicon or the instruction sheet isn't all that great.. I could really use some help by means of a clarified sheet or step by step written instructions..
thanks anyway..

Oh yeah tell me about it, I must have spent a good half hour trying to figure it out.. Glad to see i'm not going stupid or anything like that. Eitherway I should have left him in vehicle mode

Yeah, Ironhide is a little weird o transform, but once you get the hang of it well, ... he's still a little weird to transform.
What part are you having trouble with?
Some basic tips are:
Remember his waist ends up at an angle in Robot mode. with the 2 pegs inside the blue connector piece.
You have Rotate his entire lower section from beneath the truck 180 degrees so the truck bed is now in front.
His Front tires rotate up, and latch onto the poles on his neck piece. That also keeps the Head from folding down into the chest.
The Truck front halves just hang on the shoulders. With no real locking mechanism, Just kinda bouncy there.

AHA! I think I found where I got stuck.. both the two little pegs dont fit into the connector piece or are too tight to actually go all the way and the rotating upper body is so tight its like it isnt supposed to move..
Thanks guys!

Am I the only one thats spotted that when you flip up the roof section on his back theres a little notch on each side that the doors fit into perfectly which holds the truck front halves in tightly in place at a (very) slight angle. I thought when I found this that it just had to be intentional.
Sorry if this is common knowledge.

I have the opposite problem, I can't get him back into bot mode. The doors refuse to attach to the back end without causing his waist and arms inside to go at an angle where the arms hang lower than the wheels.
I still have the directions for him, but they didn't help me out at all when I first got him.

I looked on youtube and there is a guide for it if you search IRONHIDE TRANSFORMERS. There was something weird with the legs and it wouldn't allow my to get it back in vehicle mode but finally figured it out with the video.
Ironhide's my least favorite to transform back to vehicle mode.

Did manage to get him done, took me a while cos of the stupidly tight rotating upper body.. i'm also going to have to make those holes a bit wider for the pegs to fit in.. gonna give it a try back to vehicle tomorrow.. don't want to break anything as I had to use more force than I would have liked to..

That's what I first thought, but I now know that it CAN click in place. You REALLY have to push it down though. I mean, you gotta push and push it down until it clicks. Once you do it the first time, it will get easier to click in every other time. Good luck!

I just got movie Ironhide yesterday and I had a few problems with him t first but now not so much. The only issue I'm having is that in bot mode I find that the two halves of the hood that split apart to form his shoulders tend to stick up in a big angle. I get the feeling that they should be flat on the shoulders but I can't them to go flat. Any idea what I'm missing here?

No,they are just supposed to be floating there above the shoulders/tires. you can push them down so they are flat by folding down the hinges they are on. They should kinda just stick in place if done correctly. But I think he looks better with the hood halves slightly angled upwards.

He was definitely tough for me the first time. I found myself thinking "well, heck... I'm just going for it, I can always buy another one if it breaks."
His torso didn't want to rotate the first couple times, and there's really not much to grab onto.
The only tip you'll probably need to get him back to truck mode ... is to push his legs back 2 clicks from the straightest position. (at the hip) This will properly align the bed to the pc. with the exhaust pipes.
Also, take the guns off. You don't need to, but for the first time it helps to see the pegs that the arm holes click into.(i don't mean the ones that hold the arms together either. The ones that fasten his arms to his hips.
He's such a great toy!
This thread gave me another reason to transform him.

My big problem with transforming back to vehicle mode was that the arms wouldnt fit anymore, 5 minutes later and a lot of gentle pushing and everything's now aligned again and the cannons/fuel cans even fit perfectly giving it enough room to fully drive without dragging something along over the floor

I had to watch some youtube review vids to understand how to transform Ironhide. The instruction sheet doesn't go into detail about how to attach the hips to the chest or anything else for that matter.

There is a blue piece with 2 holes in it that connects the hips to the chest. Th waist has two pegs that connect to it. Then there is a third lone peg on the back of the waist, that connects the waist to the upper body. The final result, is that the waist sits at an angle with the upper body. The back side is completely separated while the front is close together.
