I have tons of bots, and this weekends hunt only added to the haul. Still, even though I love them all, sometimes I wish I had my $10 back(and sometimes even more) which brings me to this...

One bot I was realy looking forward to is Movie PayLoad, sadly he sucks!

When I get excited over a bot, I try not to look at any galleries because I don't want the transformation or the features to be spoiled.

Well, I say PayLoad and LongArm on the shelf yesterday and scooped them right up(along with an Arcee).

LongArm is an awesome bot, and for the life of me, I can't tell why he isn't a Decepticon. Actualy, to me he looks like a TF Spawn, and in my collective, thats what he'll be.

His bio just doesn't fit him!

My only complaint here is that his weapon is screwed onto his hand, however with the weight of it, I can understand why they did it.

Payload on the otherhand, keeps falling apart, has a huge spring arme jutting out of his back that makes him imposible to stand upright, and all his pannels pop off whenever his gimick is activated.

Here's some pics, and please, let me know what bots you've looked forward to that let you down, and what ones you thought would be subpar, but turned out to be impressive.

My collection is small at the moment and I really like most of the ones I have. The only disappointing one is Classic Deluxe Grimlock. Great Dino mode but horrible robomode. I'd like to shoot whoever thought it would be a good idea to turn his dino head into the robo feet. Prick.

I have to agree with you on that one. The tail on the back and head for the feet never sat well with me either.

i transformed it once and a wheel fell off plus its just so sh*tty

My faverit Autobot Ironhide is kinda wobbly and has truble standing up.But I still like him

Thats a bot you can tell they gave up on half way through. The chest on mine don't work right, one side always sticks, and I think if they would have put a hinge half way out on the feet so they'd fold up and not look so long, it would be a nice G1 touch(BB had beveled feet).

I think they kinda made him looking like he needed a steak though so that we'd get real hyped over his other versions.

Still the amount of options for gun placement is something I like about that figure.

Old camaro of BB robotmode, it's just..meh. While his 08 model is almost a miniture MP like version. My opinion anyways. =D

Again, I think they did that on purpose to get us all drooling for everything '08.

With a few tweeks, '74 BB could realy be awesome. Then again, that was my first car, so I have a soft spot. The same exhaust cloud it kicked up in the movie brought back alot of memories!

Movie Blackout for me. The alt mode is friggin awesome. The robot mode is so disappointing. No guns, small, white hands... But I'll do a custom repaint on him and build him some guns, with a little luck, I'll like him. Voyager starscream is way better than this guy. Saddly.

Armada Megatron and Armada Prime.

Poseability is a must, Hasbro!!

The few im dissapointed in from the movie line are Scorponok and voyager Megatron. Scorps alt mode is great but his robot mode is retarded. luckily i got him in the desert attack 2 pack so i only payed half price for him. But i just got voyager Megatron and hes not that great. When ever i pick him up his feet close. I have yet to find a way to lock them. All the ice parts dont move like they are suppose to. Especially the chest one. His claws are brown. Why i have no clue. Maybe the same reason why blackouts hands are white. And Megs jet mode is a joke. The only thing going for him is his arm cannon and the head sculpt. He doesnt look to bad in bot mode but the jet mode is crap. The wings are way to small and the head is not even hidden. If it wasnt for his semi decent bot mode id be very pissed off that i spent $20 on him. Im going to set him up so it looks like hes coming out of a cryo-stasis tank. Kinda like in the movie.

EDIT: i also forgot to mention that Megatrons eyes are not red they are blue. What the hell man. I need to make them red some how.

ah! Classics Thrust! TOTALLY BONER INSPIRING!! then i get him out of the box and transform him to see that it looks like someone painted his eyes with a slingshot. GAH!!!

mp megatron wasn't as great as i had hoped he'd be

The head looks melted too. StarScream would be better with BlackOuts legs I think.

By the way FURY is what I named my movie Megs.

Did you switch the arm cannon on megs to the left side? They pull right out, it's super easy to do.

I have mostly movie figs, so it'll be heavy in that dept.


Blackout is the biggest disappointment. He looks cool, but the transformation is far from fun. Poseability isn't great either. The button that spins the rotor is annoyingly long as well.

Deluxe Brawl, if the arms locked in a little better he'd be pretty cool. If it weren't for those 2 tabs helping out, he would be completely useless.

I have negative opinions with almost every movie decepticon in one way or another. The only exception is Barricade ... he's freakin cool!

As far as autobots, Ratchet was the only let down there. I'm colorblind, so it's pretty bad that I have issues with his colors. He may as well be a fisher-price toy. Also, why does his axe look like a butterfly? After seeing that ... I started looking around for a rainbow decal or something to confirm what I was thinking.

I'm loving most of the alternators. Sunstreaker is my least fav. I don't know if it's just mine, but car mode isn't all that great. Nothing wants to line up. His bot mode is okay, but a little too cartoonish looking. Something tells me that the BT version would be much cooler?

The only thing I'll disagree with you on is Barricade. Great alt mode, but that robot sucks. He keeps falling apart, he wont stand for anything. No neck means that his rubber head keeps springing back whenever possed. And his arms are just a waste to me, with all that extra room I don't see why he doesn't have articulated fingers or some weapons

From movie wave 1, have you tried Wreckage, I know he's filler, but he has the rest of the Cons beat hands down!

Movie Starscream. He simply makes me sad. I didn't want him until my friend got him. I saw him get transformed and messed with and thought he was cooler than I gave him credit for. I bought my own and it makes me wish I had kept the money. I think I hate it. It's mutual though, he's displayed on my entertainment center, roughly eye level. If you get too close, I swear he'll shoot your damn eyes out.

Yup, I have wreckage. He's okay ... but I didn't have any expectations with him. I like his head most of all, very cool looking.

About Barricade, his head pulls up and clicks in place. After doing that ... his head can be held in place by closing the hood of the car a little more. It's not as rigid as the way Ironhides head is held up by placing the pegs into the holes of his wheels, but nonetheless ... it helps!

Believe me I tried, now he just lives on the shelf. As for Wreckage, he's my Movie Megatron, and the actual Megatrons I have I call Fury.

I agree, Wreckage makes a pretty cool Megatron/Galvatron.

Ratchet was the only Autobot letdown, all the others are awesome, but since I custom-painted Ratchet he has rocketed back up (now he's got a proper paint job and face), so technically I'm not disappointed with any of the Autobots.

Blackout is the biggest disappointment for me. I still like his alt. mode though; I keep him in that mode.

Classic Megatron with his gun alt. Ok so they can't make it look real because of laws and all but sweet zombie Jesus on a pogostick does he have to look like a damned Nerf gun? Since they're not going to do a Classics Shockwave, because Hasbro hates us, why didn't they just take his alt., modify it a bit and give it to Megs?
