At BBTS ... why is G1 reissue Prime $110, but Encore RI Prime only $65?

Is there much difference in the toy itself? Maybe just an availability issue?

I'm thinking about preordering the Encore 4 pack with Megs,Prime,SS and Soundwave.

Not that I'm aware of I think the only difference is in the packageing on optimus prime and in the case of megatron some of exsecere that come with him.

Encore Prime has a silver roller.

I don't know about the other figs.

Also, there is a slight difference in packaging.

I know one re-issue of OP had the Matrix, but I don't know which one it was.

New Year Convoy. Both versions of reissue Galvatron also came with the matrix.

and as for the price difference. The other reissue was years ago, so it obviously isnt as readily available as the current.

I knew I could count on the folks here. Cripes ... you fellas really know your sheeit!

This is pretty much the main reason!

Takara Transformers Collection reissue comes with Convoy, his trailer, fists, gun, energy axe, hoses, and blue Roller. He also comes with a binder for the info cards/pages included with all the other TFC releases. You can see a gallery of hime here:

New Year Convoy comes with all that MINUS the energy axe. His additions include show accurate blue windows, blue eyes, bloated rifle which resembles his show rifle more closely. The repair drone also has blue windows opposed to the normal releases' orange/brown. Also includes a metal matrix, an Autobot mousepad and a repainted Action Master Optimus Prime figure. He's the only G1 Convoy I've bought yet but he's great. You can see that gallery here:

As far as anyone knows, the Encore reissue differences from the TFC release are, no energy axe, no bloated rifle and tampographed Autobot symbol on his left arm instead of being forced to mash a sticker on there. Of course the G1 styled box is a nice plus too. I have yet to see a gallery of him to link you to.

Neva! I'm also not sure if encore will contain the bloated rifle or not. I know somebody said that it does but im to lazy to dredge through the boards to find the pic.

Pretty sure I've seen that it has the bloated rifle.

Anyway, better jump on these Encores if you don't already have some version of these figures, because $40-$60 is a steal. Reissues, especially of these figures, always go way up in value over a fairly short period of time. Which is why I couldn't afford to get them until now.
