I actually heard this tip first from the most recent tfwire.com podcast, so kudos to them.

Anyway, I popped over to my local Kohls clothing store and found that they not only had several '08 Bumblebees, they also had a few Dreadwings and Arcees among the rest of the left over Wave 1 deluxes(They did not have any Voyager class toys, sadly). And they were all on sale for "buy 1 get a second half off."


*Note that Kohls is selling these for $12.99 instead of retail $9.99, but it's better than the ridiculous prices on the internet.

Their toy section is a disaster but they do have some nice finds once in a while.

I got the last one, at that particular Kohl's. I figured I would check a few of the others...(kind of want a second one).

Yeah, I've been hearing Kohl's got in new Deluxe figures, and the more and more I hear it, the more and more I'm inching towards going to Kohl's later in the week.

Not now, because, well, I'm freakin poor.

Well the 3 Kohls I went to didnt have him or arcee or dreadwing but all the other ones(and more than Walmart targets and tru's combine) but no voyagers and lots of helmets. And yes, very very messie! I think the parents just drop there kids while they shop.

Thanks guys, i finnaly got one.

But here's a little story on persistence..

First I called ahead i got my '76 bumblebee that way.

When I called the lady that answered said they didn't sell any transformers...which is a load of ####33 ( that's why i hate calling ahead.

So I went to the store to look for him and I couldn't find it.. only Brawl.

Well as a last ditch effort I took that deluxe Brawl up to customer service and asked whether or not they had anymore in the back..She said what's out is what they got.

Then I said well could you look please, and she got the intercom and asked a person form the Toy department to come.

She came i told Her the business, and after GOING IN THE STORE ROOM, came back with.....08BB!!
She brought back one, but I only need one, Just incase another collector or Kid might be Searching like me.

My point to this long story is that Sometimes you have to be very persistent and Ask a lot. Sometimes you have to wait, but you might have to do this to get this guy.

So I guess Now is a good time to start the Kohl's Hunting.

Just got back from my local Kohls (Lansdale, PA) with BB08 in hand, and there are still 4 left at the store on 2 different TF displays.

Wait Kohl's has a toy section? When did this happen? I was in there the other day and saw nothing.... I need a tip.

Thanks for posting this thread, I've been trying to find Concept BB (it's actually '09 not '08) for two freaking months with no luck but I went to Kohl's today and sure enough they had '09 BB, Arcee, and Dreadwing. Who would have thought that after the massive TF shortage we've been experiencing the rarest figures would show up at Kohl's?

Nothin' but wave 1s at mine.

Remember, You have to ask the people to try to look in the storage room for you.

At my Kohls (chicago) they put out like 3-4 deluxes at a time. I got 76 BB, Jazz, and 08BB just by asking for them to get it for me. Those few stand out in the sea of brawls, bonecrushers, and occasional barricades.

Are you serious? That explains why My Jazz was $10, oh well, getting more sleep is well worth four extra Dollars to me.

I sent you a pm ultra tron. I'm in the chicagoland area, northwest suburbs to be exact, and I'm looking at kohl's but so far nada. I'm at work now so I can't do much searching until I get out. I might call up some kohl's but that always seems like a waste of time for both parties. Oh well, hopefully tonight I'll get lucky and finally get me a bumblebee.

Yeah, I went to three total Kohl's and one had little TF stuff at all (Dreadwing yes though), the next had only Wave 1 deluxes, and the third had o8 Bumblebee, and Arcee, with Wave 1 Deluxes.

So yeah, it's true!

thx for the info. i just called that store and was told they have one more left and they're gonna hold it for me. it sucks that they're way overpriced but oh well.

Didn't have any on the floor. Asked them to check in the back, nothing.

they say they'll match prices if you have a current ad with you. does anyone know where i can get a recent ad with the normal price?

They're doing a buy one get one half off. So just buy 2 and it'll be normal wal-mart price.

Anyway I called before going and the lady surprisingly knew EXACTLY what I was looking for. Everyone was super helpful. I picked up 2 bumblebees, dreadwing, and arcee. One bumblebee is already hooking up a local board member here.

Thanks for the heads up guys! I would NEVER have checked kohl's... and I'd still be looking!

There you go, It's so ironic how in the past 2 weeks kohls had what i wanted and Toysrus- toy store did not!

Heh My Local Kohls Wont Be Finished Till November.

idk if it was a good idea to post this info maybe scalpers are lurking and running to there kohls and snatching every thing...........


but if they dont this isgreat cause i have a 10 dollars off coupon and a minumuim purchase of 10 dollars so it will only cost me 3 dollars!!!!!
