He's kinda cool. Freakin huge. From what I've read of the reviews online, it's the same mold as the MP and the regular 20th anni but colored wrong (which I can vouch for, mine is reddish-orange like tomato soup) and not as well-made (which is good; as he is, mine cuts off his own feet when transforming him and he's not as "solid" as I expected)

I've got him and love him. He is more of a tomato soupish color but that really doesn't bother me because it's still Optimus Prime.

MP-01 is the best version but that DVD OP version still represents the best mould ever done for a TF ever even with all the changes made to it vs the MP-01 version.

Is the orangish red color the biggest drawback to this prime?or are there any other major failings?

Nevermind, i just looked at the gallery and the side by sides. You guys aren't kidding when you say tomato soup red!

Think I'll spring for the 20th anniversary normal edition if/when the chance presents itself.

Though i suppose there's not much chance of a DVD Prime repaint/reissue?

yer funny.

I have a DVD Prime sitting on my desk at work, where I am right now. He's sitting with his right leg over his left reading the newspaper. I have the original 20th as well. They are basically the same, but as long as they are not standing side by side, the tomater soup red doesn't matter.
