a simple way to modify your movie toys

i bought a rose arts metallic permanant marker set (at target, with Ratchet) and started coloring Bumblebee and Jazz last night. i used silver for Bumblebee's grille and bronze/brass for his ringlet hand joints and Chevy symbol. The colors also included metallic blue so i colored his piping around the liscense plate. also, i colored his shins the brassy Chevy symbol color. On Jazz, i colored his shins metallic gold like they are in the hi-res pics i've found on line. the good thing is for now, the markers are still sharp so they're pretty accurate and i dont have to dissassemble the toy or anything like that to get some minor details added to my figs.
i plan on coloring Ratchet's face metallic silver and black as it is in the pictures because the plain green just doesn't cut it. i also plan on coloring his gold door striping with red horizontal stripes as well.
another tip. the markers work really well on the matte black color of the fig, not AS well on paint apps, but still pretty decent.
just a tip to anyone else out there like me who would like more color apps without the expertise or $$$!
