What are they gonna do for next year's movie line?

What ideas do you think they will do? I hope they don't like remake figures that I already have.
- I do hope for a Cybertron Prime, supreme blackout, and new megatron figure. Will never happen though. They probably will make new characters altogether instead.
What do you think?

I think its a little to early to tell. Probably Prime and Megs will get new figures, and we'll see some new characters With a few existing ones like Ratchet, and maybe Bumblebee getting new forms.

Sheesh, and here I was, thinking about getting the current Leader Megatron. I wonder if I should just wait.

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. I want a Leader Megs, but I do so hate the paintjob on the current one. And I'm no artist, so repainting it is out of the question. It'd end up looking like I dunked it in a bucket of silver paint.
So I just grabbed a Voyager Megs to hold me over. He's... okay. I guess.

Blargh, are you sure? The paint job isn't much different to Leader Megs, he's smaller, and he's got gay ice all over him. And he's got not whip, which is what's attracting me to Leader Megs. BUT I acknowledge his fusion cannon is much better.

It would not surprise me to get some more "protoform" toys for other figures, I'm not saying that they will be made, just I would not be surprised if they did.
I would also not be surprised if they came out with "Cybertron mode" figures.

The movie line's run would have ended by next year, they will release Classics 2.0 until the animated series begins.

Dont get your hopes up too high Raymond, they will probably (almost certainly) never eventuate, hell Hasbro may have never even thought of the idea of Cybertronian mode figures for the movie line.
If we are going to be getting further figures after the Allspark repaints, then we will probably be seeing test shots and prototypes of the figures towards the end of this year.
It also would not surprise me if Hasbro re-release the movie only bots waves (1-2) to coincide with the DVD release, seeing as how well they sold when the movie was released.

I won't hold it against you since you've qualified your statement with 'won't be surprised if they'
Yeah, I don't think they will make a sub-series of Cybertronians. But maybe - just maybe - (20% likelihood?) they will make something like the two Protoforms - but better of course. So perhaps Cybertron Prime and Cybertron Starscream or something. I dunno.

Just thought of another possibility...
More repainted Cybertron/Energon figures. Figures like Downshift, Crosswise, Mudflap, Jetfire etc etc.

I have no problem with that, although others might. I'm pretty happy for that to happen because I wasn't into Cybertron/Energon before the movie, so all I have from those lines are the movie scouts Arcee, Skyblast and Signal Flare, and Galaxy Force Vector Prime.

But the next movie isn't due till 2009 or 2010 because most of the leads have other project there commited to.

Raymond meant what figures will be put out on our shelves under the 2007 movie banner. So what will be on shelves over Christmas 2007 and until the Animated figures take over as the main line.
TransFormers Universe = Classics 2.0

I saw somewhere here on the board pics of a line called "TransFormers Universe" possibly could be Classic 2.0??? I think that's coming out for Xmas 07, before the animated line is released early next year (Jan or Feb 2008)??

Classics 2.0 will be a "Universe" of sorts line. Classics 2.0 will compliment and back up the main line. The main line is the Transformer Movie figures, and will then become the Animated figures when they are released.
