Advice on MP-04

I'm seeking some input from all of you MP-04 owners out there. I'm thinking about selling my MP-01 and buying MP-04 to get the Prime/transformable trailer combo. The Justitoys version just doesn't do it for me, but I'm unsure about taking the risk on selling my MP-01 and hoping for an easy MP04 aquisition. I have a pretty good idea of the price ranges ($250-330) but am starting to question the wisdom of this possible risk.
Anyone think it's worth it?

If I were you, I'd buy the MP-04 first, just in case you sell your MP-01 and then are unable to find MP-04.
I know I'd be kicking myself for years if I sold mine, only to discover I'm unable to find a replacement.

trade with someone on ebay, but why do you want to sell yours to get a mp-4? it's the same figure with a trailer. or you can just buy a new one from action-hq.
NOT IT"S NOT WORTH IT!!

^ You were saying not long ago how it was the ultimate version and everyone should have it, or something to that effect.
He wants the trailer, simple as that.

That and I'm not made of money either

I'll have to sell MP-01 to help fund this little venture. This is why I'm not sure I should take the risk or not.

After the dozens of threads that you posted on how, when, where to get one, then the threads letting us all know it was on its way, then the threads letting us know it got there, and then the one saying how great it it and how much you gasmed, you're going to say this!!

...
On another note, go ahead, MP-04 is freakin awesome and a year from now, you'll look back and realize what a great decision it was.

i'm just saying since he already have the mp-01, there's no point in getting a exact same figure that comes with a trailer.
i mean if he had the anniversary dvd version, then i will absolutely recommend him to get that one instead. because there's a huge difference between the two in terms of paint job and the length of the smokestacks. other than that it's the same figure.

Can't you buy just the trailer on eBay for less than $100? Closer to $60, I thought? Unless you need the MP-04 box..
As for the difference between the 20th DVD version and MP-01, the smokestack can be easily changed out with a longer smokestack available also on eBay.

I want the transformable trailer, and those are turning out to be harder to find that MP-04. I don't care about the box. And I don't want the Justitoys trailer.
After thinking about it I'll probably just take Kirbenvost's advice and try to secure a MP-04 and then sell MP-01 after to make up the difference. I'd never forgive myself if I sold him and couldn't get a replacement.

Yeah, it's harder to do money-wise, but it's a lot safer.

you're a goof ball.
in all, the differences don't make for any different of a figure (mp-01, 20th dvd, etc...) except in your mind alone.

look you don't have to patronize me, look all i'm saying if he desperately want buy a mp-04, just buy the trailer separately alone on ebay. it should cost around $60- 90 bucks.

He says he's having a difficult time finding the trailer alone than he is with MP-04, so it just makes sense to get the official one.

Yes... if he can find just the trailer, that would be the way to go. I just don't know that finding just the Trailer will be as easy as it sounds.
Both Primes are identical save for the wrist-com stickers.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I can defend part of Altertrons statement. Most of you are reading it as though he's saying MP-04 Prime isn't worth the cost. I think what he's saying is that buying MP-04 from Action-HQ is not worth it if there's the option of Keeping MP-01 and simply Buying the 04 Trailer.
Believe me, it's easy to jump to the wrong conclusion given the history, but read the comments twice and try to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Ding we have a winner. If the standalone transformable trailer was easier to get ahold of I'd just consider that instead. And I'm not desparately searching for one, there are plenty of Binaltechs out there to keep me busy in the meantime.
