Classics Devastator giftpack big mistake or really great?

I know there are alot of people out there who think that he is just fine. But me personal I never really liked the energon combiners the first time around even if I own all of them, and then to have them repaint the construction team and call it classic Constructicons giftpack just really didn't sit right with me. I know at the time it was only a filler line but heck they could have thought it out better done the target exclusive universe Constructicons as that giftpack but what do you guys think.

ehh maybe if it were a bit cheaper, I bought it And was not happy with it at first, the combining is horrid falls apart very easily, I dont like the fact that your realy just buying 1 leader and 2 sets of clones. However it has grown on me I never have them combined because well imo they suck combined but seperate theya re unique even though 2 sets are the same with diff colors, id say unless your a more then average trans fan pass on it, If its for a kid that wants then get it!

I think that the Classic constructicons are great as individual figures, although I wish they had four originals instead of two repaints. At least the colors help make a difference.
In combined mode, my biggest dislike is the head. It just does not make me think "Devastator", even though he does look like an oafish brute. The hands and feet could also have been better, as well as the connections.

I'd rather have an original-mold Classics Devastator, but this one will do, I suppose. I doubt if they give us any original combiners in the Classics line. I would not be surprised to see more repainted ones, however.

I just bought the giftpack from Wal-Mart today and I am very very pleased with it.
Despite the fact that there are two repaints, the color schemes and interchangable energon weapons make them unique. Hell, I actually don't even mind the repaints. I think it makes them more like a team. And I'm in love with Devestator. He looks like a giant oafy brute who can cause destruction and well, devestation. The constructions are very good in my book.
