According to one of the threads from TFW2005:
http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/showthread.php?t=147731http://www.actoys.net/bbs/read.php?tid=207164It's an odd choice, but I'll definitely be getting one if it's true. But more importantly, I hope the reissue line is returning it back.

If it's true I'm going to have to start putting toy money aside.

New Year's Transformer? We haven't heard any news before this so maybe not until Spring/Summer of next year, although, I'd love it to come out at Christmas.

Wow. That is a surprise. I have a good condition original, but a brand new shiny one would be nice.

And also if this turns out to be true, could it mean that Takara also secured the rights to other molds. Say Omega Supreme?

If Takara secured the rights, then Omega Supreme reissue would even more sweeter than Sky Lynx reissue. I'm looking forward to it. However, a Shockwave reissue would be the sweetest of them all.

Don't toy with me man!
Mine is in need of repair
and this would probably be cheaper than
getting the parts I need separately.
If true I will definitely be getting one.

That would be correct. I heard a rumor that Takara did buy the toy company who made those in the late 80's.

I have one in great shape with the box, and I count myself as very lucky!
Still, I hope this is true so that everyone that doesn't can get their hands on this very unique figure. His Transformation is pretty basic, but the details in the features are great.
------------------------------
On a side note, I finaly got a G1 SixShot today(sadly it only took about 9 minutes to figure out all 6 modes, plus the WingedWolf, and some others that I made up myself.
But anyhow, and I know he was already reissued, but wouldn't it be cool if they did some retooling on some of these figures to improve things like the general posing and whatnot. I don't see any reason why this guy can't have elbows and hip joints?

I dont know.

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think Sky Lynx was ever released by Takara or in Japan.

Great news but it is possible Hasbro will never release this here. And if they do, it will take them a couple of years. I would of prefered them to release it here. Didn't have to pay a steeper price for it and an additional for shipping. When will Hasbro ever wise up along with all of humanity?
