I don't know, it just looks too strange for me... Now that Micro Machines transforming Death Star playset that became Tatooine and the Death Star, on the other hand...!

That is some real big packaging for this figure?
I hope to see him soon, I'm not into the StarWars line(any of them) but this figure I wouldn't mind having.

Awesome. It already looks like a much better toy than Unicron.

Armada/Energon Unicron is lame toy when you think of it. Not a perfect sphere like Primus and onlu flashing lights for electronics. It could have been much more than that.

looks like I was right about the figure coming with a cape...that improves the robot mode. I'll get it just to have three mounted planet-formers hanging from my ceiling...

Its shaped like a Battle Pack box
I thought it would of been in a box looking more the one Primus and Unicron came in

The line could end with this one and I would be perfectly happy. This one will definitely make it into my collection.

Yes, but Unicron looks GOOD in both modes none-the-less. (Also I hate most electronic gimmicks in tfs.)
He als has better articulation than Primus and is easier to pose.
Ive said it before, and I'll say it again, PASS.
Looks like ass, shouldnt be vader, epic fail.

I hate Unicron's floppy planet halves in robot mode, poor design. A growling Unicron would have rocked.

Shouldn't the Death Star turn into Grand Moff Tarkin?

Technically, yes, but how many do you think would sell if the Death Star transformed into a crusty old white guy versus transforming into Vader?

The obvious choice for selling it AND pleaseing fans would have been the Emperor. Hasbro didnt think of that one.

I would have thought this would have been the emperor as well.
Darth Vader truly has surpassed his master, in retail appeal.
I can never get into these, I would rather just have play sets( I know sometimes they do not sell well) but these things warm the shelves as well, or and actual new version of the Death star this size with fighters and opening bays, shooting weapons, lights and such.
I just think that would be a better way to go with Star Wars, also these confuse the hell out of parents going shopping for Transformers or Star Wars, as well as stockers.
I have seen the mental breakdown on the isle many a time.

I'm pleasantly suprised. That actually looks pretty good. Will wait for better photos of robot/Vader mode before final judgement but may pick one up.
I've been unimpressed by most of this line and the one figure (well and Arc 170 in blue) that I like has to be most expensive. My luck. "Sigh".
