Yes, we have no Transformers! (Shocking sign I found at Target blames Hasbro!)

Hi there everybody! Just got back from my local Target, and was shocked to see a sign saying this...(NOTE: This wasn't a hand written sign, this was a real sign.)

"Target guests, Due to manufacturing delays, we expect that we will not be getting any shipments of TRANSFORMERS action figures until mid-october. This includes the Scout, Deluxe, and Voyager lines."

That's about what it said. Here's a picture of it...

I think this is the first time a big store like Target has put the blame on Hasbro, is it not?
Well, that's about it. Good luck on avoiding the white sign of death!

Well, that sign didn't have to remind me that we already have a lack of movie toys.

Last time I went to TRU, they said they wouldn't be getting any shipments in until mid-September.

Yea, I was actully glad that Target put SOMETHING up. I've seen nothing but empty shelves there for a few weeks now and was glad they cared enough to let us know what's up.

Actually those are the remaining units of the very last few shipments that Hasbro's sent. They've been sitting in the WM shipping warehouses for a few weeks, and now that they're shipping, I think even they'll feel the drought soon.

Well at least we know when the G1 figures are gonna show up.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water...The drought returns!!!

I really hope I don't regret not paying an extra $9 for Acree when I saw her at Epcot's Japan store.

Agreed, but they still should have put that sign out a month ago.

well we all know the well is dry right now so it is nice to see a company at least conveying that to the customers. You know it is rough when there are no leader class figures are on the shelves.

At least they are informing their customers that they do not have the stock, and will not have the stock for some time. Sure beats just having empty shelves.

And it is Hasbro's fault, for greatly underestimating the demand for the Transformers figures, so I think that sign has every right to blame Hasbro.

Here in Houston, Tx it's the same....

I went to my local Walmart and they had FILLED the shelves with Cybertron figures I hadnt seen in ages (Soundwave, Mixmaster, Vector Prime Etc, Primus, etc) and Classics Voyagers out the wazoo (Prime and Jetfire). They even had a couple 20th DVD Annivesary Primes... I checked the price for giggles ( I already have the non DVD Anniversary one) and it was $25!! So I snatched it up and it shall becoming my first experiment into "custom" figures... He shall be MP-01B, Nemesis Prime!! 8)

Anyways, I just picked up Ultimate Bumblebee there too...but he's going back. Why you may ask? he's cool for about five minutes then he's annoying. For $40 Id keep him, but for $80...eh, extra gas money is good, PLUS Starscream will be here soon

I don't think it was an issue of them "caring" more so than an issue of them saying "Quit bothering us. Quit calling us everyday. Quit showing up at the door at 8am everyday."

WOW bummer dude. Hasbro has fallen down on job. I wonder if they will fix this problem when the new animated series comes out and make enuff stock to meet the demand that the show will create thanks to the movie.

Are the G1 repaints of Starscream and Jazz a part of this mid-October thing? I thought they were going to be released on August 26th.

I didn't ask. It was super-crowded there and I thought all I'd get was a "Read the sign." I might ask next time. (Well hopefully they'll just HAVE it there.)

Anyone remember the good old days when stores actully had what you were looking for?
:-?

Oh, and does anyone know what I should call them when I ask for them? Whenever I want to ask I think it'll go like this...

AutoBotServo: Pardon me good sir, but do you know if perchance this store has a "Transformers Movie Deluxe Target G1 Redeco Jazz" and "Transformers Movie Voyager Target G1 Redeco Starscream" in stock?

Target guy: .... A What?

AutobotServo: A "Transformers Movie Deluxe Target G1 Redeco Jazz" or "Transformers Movie Voyager Target G1 Redeco Starscream" good sir. Do you have it?

Target guy:Ahhh....We have voice changer helmets. Is that what you're talking about?

AutoBotServo: -sigh- Well do you have Transformers Movie Deluxe Acree, Dreadwing, or Dropkick?

Target guy: God bless you.

AutobotServo: Wha?

Target guy: You sneezed.

AutoBotServo: -sigh-
