Ebay prices seem to be skyrocketing. As far as toydealers go where is the best place to go to find vintage G1 TFs at the most reasonable price?

Check with your local comic shops to see if there are any local Comic or Toy Cons anytime soon...Sometimes you can find some good stuff there...

Yeah, we've got a comic shop an hr. away but it doesn't have much G1 TF stuff. I use to to the earthtoymall in Ohio when I lived in Ky, but now I live in Georgia.

Best bet is till eBay. You just have to be smart. Make a list of several X-formers and watch the prices. Watch as many of one as you can and don't be afraid to be a sniper. I've been sniped quite a few times, but I've also been the one to snipe. Just be smart. If it goes over your limit check out different figures. The only way this doesn't work is if you only have one or two specific figs you are watching for. Also, "Buy it now!" is your friend.

What do you all think of wheeljackslab.com? They seem relatively reasonable on most figs...

figure wise...i've heard nothing good. However, when it comes to accessories i havnt really heard anything bad. Personally i've avoided buying any figures from him just because of what i've read(not to mention he doesnt post pics of the actual figures on his site)
personally...i miss robotkingdom

very true, i snagged a g1 complete loose blitzwing (who looks very nice) for 30 bucks, that's with shipping.
they're not sky rocketting, they're actually down a tad at the moment.
if you pay attention, you can find your hearts desire without breaking your wallet.
also try carbombya. there's some good cats selling some nice things on there.

Thanks everyone for the insight. I have done pretty well on ebay in the past but lately the prices are frustrating. Hopefully, things will cool off a bit as the luster of the movie fades. I have dealt with wheeljackslab before. I got a G1 Hound that was no where near their discription. They did work with me and in the end I got a figure of higher quality. I got a Laserbeak from them and it was pretty nice.

ebay is by far the best. you just need to be patient. dealers and shops always have high prices. even at botcon i thought the competition would help prices but its almost the opposite

Isn't RK run by Alex Kingdom? He's been gone for a while now.
Same for Wheeljack's Lab, isn't it run by Wheeljack 35?
Either way, I've never dealt with RK and I have had some pleasant dealing with WL. Mostly weapons though.

Yeah, I went to the 2006 Botcon in Lexington, Ky. It was crazy. I'd see a TF I'd like and take a moment to look at a few others and it would be gone by the time I got back.

I've bought replacement parts from Wheeljack's lab twice and both transactions went very smoothly. I've heard the same stuff about figures though. I've never bought a figure from him so I can't back that up.
