I know this has been brought up before but i can find the forum so ill start a new one.

Just got Ratchet and on the back of the box it says "Automorph forearm cannon". Were in the hell is it? Its not shown in the instructions and i cant find it on the figure. The only thing that i can think of is that the axe doubles as a gun when the blades are folded. Any one have any other ideas?

his actual automorph is in his legs, the calfs bulge out when the foot is transformed

Believe it or not, his automoprph forearm cannon is his Roof Rack/claw thing. Pretty lame but hey what you gonna do.

Bumbled had a thread about this about a fortnight ago, he ended up finding the cannon, fairly well hidden away. It's nothing spectacular though.

Someone took pics of it too...

I dont really think it can, it was just a way for Hasbro to throw another "extra" onto the figure, and box, to help sell the figure.

Wouldn't have had to do it if Ratchet were a nicer shade of colour. :P

Yeah the only thing bad about the figure is the color. I still say its false advertising.

a lot of people have had a lot of theories about Ratchets "claw" thingee. All wrong.

Let me clear this up for you.

As a former paramedic and SAR, this things is a spineboard. Albeit a type that is rarely used anymore, but i recall using these things many times. It is designed to scissor open, place each side of it on either side of the victim then closed to just under the injureds' back/spine. Then the injured is strapped and carried to safety.

As to why it's not in the movie?

If you've been collecting for as long as some of us have, you know that usually, the toy is designed FIRST, then it is put into the screened production. There it is alterd in any way the writers/directors need it to be. But the toys are already on the boat and on the way by the time changes are made and to redesign and remake that many figures is financail idiocy. So we get what we get and hope for the best. Look at Beast Machines!

Did you notice that Ratchets "ax" is nowhere in the film, but the buzzsaw and gun are nowhere in the toy, but his autopistol looks a whole lot like the folded ax - right down to the stripe - with some pipes and barelles and such added to?

Hmmm... :-?
