Is he good?

Easy Transformation?

Complex?

Just a little brief discussion would be good :) Thanks

His transformation isn't that complex, but might be a little difficult to work around the first time. The automorph on the feet seems fragile though. I'm sure I've almost broken mine.

The figure does look good in both forms though, so it's a good figure and worth getting, in my opinion.

One of my favorites, looks great, great poseablity, automorph is cool, transforming is kinda awkward but other than that its great.

Ironhide is easily my favourite figure of the line, I prefer him over 08 Bumblebee.

His transformation is not hard, but I have read that plenty of people have had issues with him, I had a look at his instructions, and if you did get stuck, they would not help you at all.

He has a decent automorph (by decent, I mean it does not get in the way), although because of it, he is a tad harder to pose (he has no ankles).

Paint is bland, but you should expect that, seeing as he is a movie figure. At least he isn't a victim of sloppy painting. His chest/shoulders are nice, and there are multiple way to adjust the car bonnet to get different looks.

His weapons looks good in robot mode, although look kinda silly in alt mode, as they hang under the body. If you take them off, you are left with his fist hanging there instead. The missiles have a 'different' firing mechanism, that means they are fairly weak, and the combined gun mode is a tad of overkill.
Good overkill.

If you can find him for AU$45 or so, grab him.

You should check out reviews for him. Go to youtube.com and search up robotadventures , baltmatrix, and matrixprime. They do excellent reviews I highly recommend

Yer I have seen them do many reviews and what you stated is correct :)

Ironhide is pretty good in both modes. His transformation isn't difficult, just a bit frustrating before you "get" it
Instructions are almost useless sometimes, though.

He's real good, probably my favourite movie voyager - I just wish he had ankles... his lack there of is rather limiting when it comes to posing the legs.

Ironhide is a must have if you ask me. One of the most fun transformations of the whole line. He also looks great in both forms. Poseability is pretty good too, but I don't have the loose leg problem like a lot of people here are mentioning.

I him while in Florida to visit some Family and I was so anxious to open him when I got home. It was worth the wait. 8)

I agree he is a must have to any serious collector, and even the casual collector this movie toy of ironhide is exquisite even with the very few flaws it has.

At least he is not as ugly as Ratchet.

His transformation IS complex, don't try to pretend otherwise. Easy is Cybertron Crumplezone or Vector Prime.

Ratchet with his fugly color scheme :P

would get ratchet IF he had a more... G1-esque remold of the head, and not having that fugly "Vomit-color", instead having white and red on him.

but still... i intend on getting Ironhide.
(hoping for a g1 recolor of Ironhide, red vehicle mode, robot mode has white and red, most dominantly the red color)

Never hesitate to pick up a big truck transformer. Specially Ironhide. He was the first one I wanted to get of the movie series. Hope they make a Classics 2.0/Universe G1 inspired Ironhide.
