I believe that only the metal and rubber things do. But I haven't seen a plastic toy lose it's paint apparently because it holds paint better. But has anyone got quite a few toys with paint lost?

It depends on the quality and how roughly the toy is handled.

The only one I noticed in my collection losing paint apps is Robovision Optimus Prime. The painted red flames scratch off at the slightest touch.

If you play with them alot, then paint is eventually going to be chipped off.
