for those hardcore fans out there, has buying transformers toys beoame a daily habit or a daily routine? if so how many transformers do you think you that you can afford to buy each month or within a year? can you say buying the toys is a absolute must, just like buying groceries for the entire family or clan. let's say the minute you're out for shopping, would you consider buying transformers as one of your options?

Yea um, normally when you are married you pool your money from your jobs togeter and have to pay bills, whatever is left over and not moved to savings can be considered spending money.

When you get married you'll understand :) No I don't have allowance but we both work and both have our play money. When bills need to be paid the ol' Transformers fund goes on hold.

I do pretty well for a 31 year old collector with two kids though. I've picked up about 25 figures over the past month, seven of those being fairly expensive Binaltechs and Alternators and I picked up every single Classics figure I wanted.

To compare, my wife got her hair done and bought two new pairs of shoes for nearly what my toys cost. Women! :D

It differs from month to month. Pretty much whatever money doesn't go to bills or my gf is split in half into savings and TFs. Usually I can get either like 4-5 deluxes or a couple of deluxe Takara BWs online. Idk, it really depends month to month.

asking the opposite of my question, wouldn't it be killing you not to buy transformers for a month, if worst for a year, if your spouse demands it. what would you do to kill time by not buying transformers?

Amen brother (30, two kids as well)!!!

For me, as I am very picky about what I buy, it's usually anywhere from 1-5 per month.

I started collecting on July 16th, just a hair over 1 month. I haven't really gotten much in the past couple weeks either.

Since then. I have 2 of almost every movie figure in the legends, scout, deluxe, voyager and leader class.

It's easier to list what I don't have for this line;

-G1 redeco Jazz
-redeco barricade
-redeco ratchet
-dropkick,payload,longarm
-air raid
-leader brawl
-thundercracker

I have a bunch of classics as well.

-Devastator
-Prime(2)
-Jetfire
-BB(2)
-SS
-Mirage
-CJ
-Grimlock
-Ramjet
-Astrotrain
-Rodimus(2)

I have a handful of cybertron scouts. 9 alternators and 4 binaltech. Finally, all 4 encore reissues are being shipped to my door as we speak.

So, there ya go ... that's what I acquired in the past month. Usually this amount of money goes into savings each month, for I have been saving for a house. I probably am not in the hole at all ... at worst I broke even to the amount I had in my account in the prior month. It's nice not being a kid anymore! Debit cards are good!

My bank actually called me thinking that my card was stolen ... that's how much extra activity there was. #-o

can you say after seeing transformers in theatre suddenly burst a instance interest of motivating you get the toys again or for the first time. i have to be honest before antipicating transformers to hit theatres, i begin collecting the toys just to refresh my childhood memories.

See that's the thing. Spouses don't demand things from each other.

It's a partnership.

Oh, and the answer is always the same, drugs. Buy lots and lots of drugs. :P

It varies from month-to-month. But mostly I buy whatever I'm looking for when I find it. IT averages probably 10-20 per month. All that I want, essentially.

And yes, being single has its advantages. I honesly doubt that I'll ever find a woman who's better with money than I am. :-P

I am usually at one or more stores that carry Transformers on any given day. It's almost a daily thing. If I see a Transformer I want, I get it, no questions asked.. My Partner actually was the one to point out to me, that if I don't get it now, I'll just pay more for it on E-bay!
