you might try if bbts still has some left, but since the line stopped, you won't see anyone stock new ones.

Sigh. It's gonna be an expensive, depressing year or two...

8 to go, and none are selling below £30... :?

You'll find some sites that still have them cheap. I believe that Scifigenre.com has a couple at close to retail prices.

CP, are all of your figures Alternators or have you mixed BT/Alternator lines?

Personally I'm trying to get all the Binaltechs first an then fill in the releases that were Alternators only.

I see (red)Alert BTA-01 there.. .so that should answer your question..

Also the comic con Version of Rodimus is in alt. mode and the robot mode is BT.

Yet no Broadblast or BT Skids, and it's hard to tell if Sunstreaker is the BT or Alternator version. I supposed I should have phrased my question differently...

It actually goes to show, that since you (the big You, not the specific lanzajr26 you) can't tell if they are alts or bts, that there isn't as much difference as people like to believe.

Everyone except for Alert is the Alernator version. KP Rodimus is there alongside Alt Rodimus (car). I personally, dislike the BT line. While it is an outside and probably unlikely chance, paint chipping and to a lesser extent weak hip joints (due to weight) all bother me a great deal.

I understand that there are folks out there who really prefer the BT versions and that's cool too, they just don't really work for me.

Thankfully, I intend to get Blue Tracks instead of Swerve. I never really saw him as an important character.

Currently my list is:

Mirage
Optimus Prime
Smokescreen
Sideswipe
Prowl
Skids
Tracks
Jazz

Of course, I often post that list all over these forums, so it'd surprise me if you hadn't seen it already.

If it becomes too costly, I may knock Smokescreen off the list. I have Silverstreak, and I only missed out on Smokescreen because of forgetting money.

It'd probably knock £40 odd off my list :?

You'd be surprised, but it doesn't feel like a lot.

If I'm ever in the US, I know what house I'm robbing! :P

EDIT:- 29 Alts/ BTs and 3 MPs not a lot?!

Jebus, what's the rest of your collection like?

There are pictures which show some of it in this thread:

Cool, that's what I figured :D Smokescreen, Prowl and Dead End are easy to spot due to the quality of paint job and different decal apps for Prowl, but yes the others are virtually identical.

I'm one of those crazy folks that prefer BTs mainly for the shiny die-cast and nicer paint apps. They all feel more solid than the Alternators to me. But they are heavier and that does contribute to the weaker hip and ankle joints for most of them.

The one figure where I prefer the Alternator version is Skids, Hasbro did a great job with the mold and paint apps and I passed on the overpriced BT version for him. I'm thinking of doing the same for Prowl since I like the Alternators paint job better.

I once again find myself agreeing with the complete douche.

I finished with my Alt collection recently (finally got my m-fing Swerve), and the only Bt's I want are the ones that are not out as Alts. I have a Yellow Tracks, but I still need Alert, Broadblast, Blue Prowl, Red Meister and Autotrooper.

And MP-05 Megs, but that's a whole nother thang.

I may bet some of those BTs you mentioned. They aren't essential though, more like after-dinner mint Transformers. :)

Yeah, I'm not killing myself to get them, but I'll get them eventually, just to round out the bunch.

Am I a geek for just having them all boxed instead of unpacked?

Would that make me totally bad-ass for opening them at the same time?
