as above, im thinking of getting a planet toy but not sure whether to go for Primus or Unicron, which do you think is better? oh and which Unicron...Armada or Energon or Cyberton

?

oh and whats a good price to pay for them?

As far as I know, there is no Cybertron Unicron toy.
I'd go with the Primus, better Alt Mode.

I have neither Unicron or Primus, but I would go with Primus. Better planet mode, and I THINK he has more weapons in robot mode, I'm not sure. Unicron is bigger. I think Energon Unicron looks more 'evil' than orange Uni, but traditionalists may disagree with me.

Get both if possible.

Both have their negatives and positives.

If you get Unicron, get the Armada original, not the Energon repaint (which is mainly all black and boring).

If you can only get one right now, definitely go after Primus. Better alt mode, nice robot mode, and the Omega Lock is cool.

Primus is popping up in Wal-Mart again, $50.00 MISB brand new.

Unicron's a bit tougher to come by, though I'm sure he can be found on eBay. I wouldn't pay more than his store price ($50.00) for a complete one. For a while, a lot of people were hocking him left and right online, so he's not exactly rare, but not as easy to find as Primus.

Well, the best Planet-former may yet be the new Darth Vader/ Death Star, looks pretty snazzy (from an otherwise mediocre line)

im sure TRUs here in the UK are still stocking Primus's for about £50...but im just wondering whether Unicron will be rarer sooner so it may be better to get him first?

there exists a Unicron in the Cybertron toyline. but a reduced Unicron, with a fugly tank mode. the only plus? the typical orange color on it, ala G1 Unicron. still... Would prolly get me Energon Unicron tho.

1) Get Armada Unicron. Truly a great toy and you can recreate scenes from TM:TM

2) Get Primus. He's the TF God after all.

3) If you like recolours, get Energon Unicron. However, I recommend that you get this last and only if you want to waste more money.

All the above should be obtained for no more than $50. However, Both U's are getting old, so you may have to pay a little more.

I keep E U MISB. I don't know why I picked him up. I just like recolours.

Yeah, in that order.

Surprisingly enough, he's not boring at all.

The paint and details are outstanding on that toy. He's really striking. Check out the galleries on the site here. You'll be surprised at how cool Energon Unicron looks.

I'm gonna say Primus. Seeing them stand next to each other, I've gotta say see if you can't get both, but I am more impressed with Primus that Unicron.

It pleases me greatly that Iacon is on Primus.

Primus has a complete (ie entrily round) alt mode whereas Unicron is really only half a Unicron (although he can be proped up in such a way as to make it not obvious that he is missing a hemisphere).

In robot mode, Primus is much neater, but less posable, both due to his relativly small feet, and becuase of resticted movment in his arms (it cant even pull the middle finger at you unless you are above or bellow him).

Unicron is farily messy in robot mode with all those bits of shell and rings failing about his back, but he is one HELL of a possable bugger, he can pull off pretty much anything.

As much as it pains me to side with the Armada option (Cybertron is by far my fave tf toy line), I'd personally vote Unicron.

EDIT: Also it may be worth mentioning that I was actully slightly disapointed at Primus's size, especily when compaired to Unicron, who is in every sence larger than him in robot mode.

I picked up Primus for £25 at TRU Croydon last Thursday. Strangely the price was still marked as £50 on the shelf though

I only really Transformed Unnicron, I did like the black repaint.Primus looks cool but I still never found transformed him or anything.

Not too sure about Death Star Vader, never saw it in person yet.

I put my vote for Armada Unicron.

hmm, well im going to TRU this weekend for a TF splurge (first paycheck from a new job) and if they dont have the TRU Soundwave i think ill pick up a Primus for the same price or maybe both if they dont have anything else i want...just have to leave it up to the gods of fate

If this job holds out then i'll look at getting a Uni after xmas probably

As for the Vader/DS toy...i dont know, there is something about mixing SW and TF that im not sure about, ive seen them in the shops, picked them up but just put them back on the shelf...i think its the bot modes...id only be buying them for the vehicle modes and that seems pointless whilst there are loads of proper TFs i want to buy
