My local mail agent delivered unto me yesterday a Universe Razorclaw figure. I notice that he has these little wheels on the backs of his wings, and was wondering if this figure has some kind of third transformation. It doesn't list it in the instructions......thanks to anyone who can provide information.

As far as I know they were for a planned third mode for the figure which was never included in the instructions.
It's possible to transform him onto a sort of vehicle mode with the green orb/shoulder at the front being a cockpit and the guns pointing forward.
I'm afraid I can't find a picture though.

Interesting. I checked the galleries on this site but didn't see any third mode. But he does have that cockpit bubble deal like TM2 Megatron, and that was what got me thinking about other possabilities.

Not really. As far as I know, there's the robot mode, beast mode, and attack mode. That's it. The designers could have had an additional mode in mind, but it never came to fruition. Just like the spark figures.

Both Tigerhawk and TMII Megatron were designed to have a third transformation, and the orbs were to be the cockpits to some sort of "energon figure" if I remember correctly. Anyway, for whatever reason, the figure plans were scrapped and all mention of the third transformation disappeared.

I've remembered where I've seen the picture. It's in J.E. Alvarez's unofficial guide to beast wars book. There's a picture of TigerHawk in an unofficial third mode.

And as for the cockpit, pilots were never produced for them... until Cryotek. The Japanese version of Cryotek actually includes a tiny, unpainted humanoid pilot inside the chair.
Not the best pic to show it off, but compare to TM2 Megatron or a US Cryotek).
