IS it just rehashing the old ones or bringing out new characters? Coz the more famous characters all seem to have been done already.

Remember seeing opivs somewhere (?TFormers.com) of Side Swipe and Sunstreaker, maybe Octane too.
Can't remember iof there was any hint of a street date tho

I was wondering the same exact thing. Who are the new characters and do they look good? A new, larger prime with a trailer would be sweeet! They always make another prime so i'm optimisitc!

No new characters. Tehy are continiuing with the "Classics" theme of redoing the classic G1 TFs. I now Sunstreaker, Sideswipe and Octane are definates. I believe thats all we now so far.

ummm....Then those are new characters. They are characters that are new because they werent in the first wave of classics.

The only thing that I wonder about Classics 2, is if there's going to be a Leader Class Optimus, Megatron and Ultra Magnus (Need the armor).

Also, those are not new characters. They are new toys. The characters are almost 25 years old.

i seem to remember reading something about galvatron being released, although i can't remember where.

According to what we were told at Botcon, Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Octane, and Galvatron are for sure along with possibly up to 48 others.

EDIT*** Oh yeah, Hasbro said there will never be anymore Trailers for Prime, too expensive to do.

So much for leader class Prime. Still Prime without his trailer is like... Soundwave/Blaster without their Casseticons. Besides we pay good money for the Leader/Masterpiece Optimus!

except, you know, that nobody knows what a cassette is anymore, haha. I'm pretty sure the likes of Laserbeak and crew have been redubbed Minicons by now

I agree, but Hasbro said there probably won't be any more Prime's with Trailers as it costs too much money. I think the people at Hasbro are on crack, but that doesn't mean we're gonna get a trailer. Which sucks.

i heard that they were going to be doing another ultra magnus, one that isnt i white prime repaint!

Shockwave would be a great addition to the line!

wouldm't it be a liability to prime in battle to have to carry round a large, and ultimatly fairly useless trailer around. a lightsaber is a weapon, and a trailer is just a liability. and which kid is going to want to have what would be a £20-25 toy with a chunk of plastic to round it up to £40. we collectors only make up 5% of sales at most, and that is being very optimistic

just to let people know that there will only be deluxe and ultra classes in universe.

The way I see it, if they can do a Galvatron, they can do a Shockwave. Both were just futuristic guns (although Galvs will probably only have his cannon mode in this incarnation).

Man this gets old, there is no selling point for a big chunk of plastic, it would kill there sells, if they sold him with a Trailer and it would be stupid as a stand alone box.

Some of us even complained about how Prime was "undersized" since he was originally a Deluxe, imagine what we would have said if they had added a crappy trailer and jacked the price up 20 dollars more.

Trailers are expensive in the sense that if they do not sell they waste money. And this large multimillion dollar company’s research says they do not sell.

Any ways, I can no wait for the new Universe, hopefully I will actually find them in stores when they are released, lol.

Have you bought gas for your car in the past 2 years? You might be surprised to learn that the price has gone up.

Oil demand and prices are having an effect on toy production these days. There's no way around it. It's really no surprise that Prime will be smaller. More kids can buy him and the costs to produce a trailer (which are considerable...) are avoided.

Just like everyone has been say there will NEVER be a Trailer for prime!!! 1. It coast too much to produce, 2. They would need to addd a lot of detail and tat would take too much time, 3. Plastic is getting more expensive, 4. The price tag would be too high and would deter kids and parents form buying Prime.... Hasbro has said all of these things at BOTCON!!!
I might actually have a chance to go work for HASBRO which I am considering... That would be great only it is a temp position but I would get my foot in the door...

Also everyone is going to have to wait till Fall of 2008 (somewhere around October) to see any of the new Classics!!! Hasbro is going to run the whle movie lie till there is nothing left to do and then they are going to have their ANime show come in arooun late winter and the Classics aren't going to come out till fall because there going to be the transition over from the movie line as that will have ended!!!

And yes Sideswipe, Sunstreaker, Ultra Magnus, Octane, and Galvatron are defintes they said and possibly the unproduced 6" titanium Cosmos which would be done in classics for as the mold can still be used only it wouldn't be a titaniium... There is a lot they are considering to only time will tell....
