Need Solution for BB74 Hood

So I vinally decided I'd give a Hasbro BB74 to a friend. We gleefully open the package and press the button... nothing! We pressed it hard, we pressed it deep, and nothing happened! Any one has a quick solution?

Thanks,

BC27
PS: By the way I know there were some posts quite a while back on BB problems but the search function didn't really work so...

I've seen this suggested: press with two thumbs at both ends of the button, not just in the center.

this thread was created a long time ago... but that's fine file the tab that is locking the hood just a teeny bit to fix the problem see the reason why the button doesnt work is because the tab that locks the hood is so long pressing the hood even w/ force doesn't move the tab backwards so much oki doki? :P

If by chance one of you breaks it, I suggest going to the toy maintence/repair workshop thread and look til you find a post about someone taking a small screwdriver and messing with the spring so you can transform him manually.

Thanks guys!

Ragnorok64, your suggestion worked. I also watched BikerTrashWolf's review and he suggested pushing a bit harder. Between the two of you I got it working.

Softimus_Prime, I'm going to work on this tab tomorrow (it's now late at night where I am). Thanks mate! Hopefully this will help make the transformation a smoother process.

Kanyon, I'm gonna do what you said, although I'm so unmechanical minded that I'm always afraid to try anything except for Starscream when I had no choice but to loosen his leg joints. But I'm going to in order to fix him because all my movie figures work (except Brawl's shoulders of course!)

Now if only the three of you geniuses can get the search function to work again you'd have reached the pinnacle of your consultation days

Glad you got it without breaking it. And for the comment towards me, thank you but you dont need skill to do it. Just a tiny flathead and a lil tinkering.

TFs are never broken, their automatic repair system is offline =O
