For the 3 that made it to my collection(by chance) I determined that since Star Wars happened "A Long Time Ago, In A Galaxy Far Far Away..."
These are Beast Wars Protoforms that were tossed into space during the Quantum Surge. In the depths of space, their sparks chilled and fizzeled out.
At this time the first to ecounter a ship encoutered Darth Maul's cruiser. It's pod scanned the ship and reformatted the blank inside it, although it never emerged(DM is packaged).
Later, a young Vader heard legend of this instance and sought out one of these pods. He found one, and it took the form of both him and his fighter. He asumed, it plagerized his image as part of it's need to copy a local form in both of it's modes.
Vader began merging his personal circutry with his new vessel...
Later still, another, rare twin pod was found, and copied the Eon Condor, staffed by space pirates Han Solo, and the Wookie ChewBacca. The two comandeered this vessle for a short while.
Vader, knowing something of the Condor's true nature sought this ship, earning Han, and Chewbacca a sour place in the Empire's eye. Eventualy, the Condor was lost in space as the two ejected from it to evade capture.
It was this though that inspired them to use every trick they had to seize the Millenium Falcon form Lando as it reminded them of the great ship they once had, and hence a new love afair for the three.
Still Vader seemingly maxed out the potential of his vessel and turned the mass total of what he knew about these "TransFormers" towards his Master's new Death Star project...

This is the only way these make any sense to me, I just figure aply more of the same to the rest of the figures.
