Only TWO Cybertron figures apart from Primus and Galvatron. Who would you get?

Input please.

I was thinking one would definitely be GF Optimus Prime.

What bout the other one? Thinking of a Voyager or Deluxe.

Cyro Scourge or Original Scourge. The 3-Headed Dragon is one of the better figures, although the whole Cybertron line was great. If you want a Deluxe, go for Thunderblast. She's a great fig.

Thunderblast looks very good too, two missiles on one deluxe?? And a cool alt mode and a decent robot mode too!

I know Excellion is also one that is very popular, and although CD Hot Shot looks very fearsome and playable, I don't dig his colour scheme.

Anyone else got opinions?

Starscream is a must. I'd go for the smaller Japanese release in preference to the supreme version if possible. There's a KO version just surfaced which certainly makes for a cheaper option but I've yet to hear anything about the quality. Otherwise it would be a toss up between Optimus and Scourge. Arguably the best Prime and the best beastformer ever. Honourable mention to Armorhide, fantastic little basic and you should be able to find him for a relatively cheap price.

There's no difference between Optimus Prime and GF Optimus Prime right?

The color. GF OP is black instead of where he should be blue. I have the regular one and I think he looks way better than the GF one. Also, the GF one has the little planet keys painted on him around the cab.

Just for the sake of total clarity that's Cy GF Optimus (the Hasbro repaint) rather than GF Galaxy Convoy (the original Takara release). Since you were asking about GF Prime rather than Convoy I presume that you meant the former, but some conversations about Vector Prime have gotten a little confused because of Hasbro's reuse of the GF label on these repaints so I thought I'd make the point.

Yup. I'm referring to Galaxy Force Optimus Prime from Hasbro. He comes with 3 missiles doesn't he? That's cool. 8)

Any other recommendations? I once saw Quickmix at discount but I regret not getting him. The only Cybertron toy I have is Galaxy Force Vector Prime from Hasbro.

How can you forget Sideways (deluxe)? Armorhide (scout)? Evac (Voyager)... Red Alert (Deluxe)... Crosswise (Deluxe)...Downshift (Deluxe)

There are lots of other winners in the Cybertron line.

BackStop and SkyWarp!

Just kidding, those guys sucked more than I care to think about.

I have pretty much all of them, ThunderBlast is nice, but the boat on her back kinda kills her for me, OverDrive just plain sucks too.

Metroplex, Prime, Scourge, and Primus are givens, and Supreme StarScream is overrated.

But as far as MUSTS, I'd have to say, Cybertron Defense HotShot, it's just a great break away from the norm on that figure, lots a pannels to play with and a nice looking mold. And the other I guess would be Cybertron Defense Red Alert, for pretty much all the same reasons, although I wish that rocket did a little more, maybe open into a mobile repair bay or something.

Overall though, Cybertron had alot of great figures, who for the most part where alot of fun, just the repaints wound up killing that line.

I can pretty much say it was the best line in a very long time, it had alittle of everything, I liked seeing the Beasts return. The figures where very diverse, and you could see they put alot of effort into them. I'd like to see more stuff like this, than what we're going to be getting soon.

Here's another classic, and another reason absolutely everyone should have at least one Shortround toy:

Absoulutely, Downshift and Sideways. If you want two of the best figures these are the ones. Stability, price, design, a rep from both factions. You can't go wrong picking these two up. Good luck finding a Sideways in stores still though...

Cybertron Defense Scattershot (Voyager), Basic Scattershot, or Cybertron Defense Hot Shot would get my vote.

I'd offer a vote for Shortround.
