Does ANYONE like the movie toys?

If you do, post here, please share. I'm feeling lonely. 8)

Granted I haven't bought and don't plan on buying any of the horrendous drone figures (Payload, Swindle, Dreadwing), and I've stayed away from deluxe Brawl and Starscream, so I guess I'm safe. I am also looking forward to getting Longarm, who looks like a really cool Autobot.

My ratings for the movie toys I have:

Leader Prime: 9/10 (10/10 now that I've customized him with metallic finish)

Leader Megs: 6/10 (9/10 now that I've customized him with gold, silver and removed the stupid spring on his fusion cannon). It's funny, I once said I would never get him, and now he's becoming my favourite figure rapidly.

Voyager Ironhide: 8/10 (loses points for weak leg joints)

Voyager Ratchet: 5/10 (8.5/10 now that I've added a lot of silver to him; basically I did a poor man's version of Jin Saotome's awesome repaint of the figure)

Voyager Blackout: 7/10 in robot mode, 8/10 in vehicle mode. I keep him in vehicle mode, he's great just like that. Mind you I would love a Leader/Supreme class.

Deluxe Wreckage: 7/10

Deluxe Bonecrusher: 5/10 in robot mode, BUT: 8/10 in vehicle mode. Vehicle mode's great.

Bumblebee 08: 9.5/10

Deluxe Arcee: 9/10

Protoform Prime: 5/10 for vehicle mode, 8.5/10 for robot mode.

As you can see, I don't really regret any of the movie toys I bought (unless I include the Signal Flare repaint). I hope others have had a positive experience with the movie line like I have.

Starscream is a Voyager fyi.

They look ok in the box. I have not gotten around to opening mine yet.

Yeah I knew that. Sorry I phrased it in a misleading way.

I don't know if I want to get Starscream, movie or G1 redeco otherwise. Same with Thundercracker. It seems to be one of those toys that you either luuuurve or hate to pieces. I personally want to find the more classic Seeker designs like from Classics, Energon/Cybertron, and probably the quirky new design from Animated. He looks pretty cool in that one.

They're ok. I only have a handful of them and the only one I can see staying on a shelf is Dreadwing. He's easily my favorite of the movie toys that I have.

I love 'em. Bonecrusher looks a bit goofy, but I've still got a soft spot for him. They're all in a group on a bookshelf, and I just love looking at 'em.

I think they're great. Especially movie Ironhide. I blame him for my transformers addiction. If he were to be made a Leader class one day ... man oh man!

Concept BB is great. Leader Prime. Bonecrusher. I thought Barricade was awesome until I got BT Grimlock.

Leader Brawl is quite awesome. I thought Jazz sucked, but the G1 redeco helps.

Dreadwing has a fantastic Alt mode, but bot mode is VERY cheesy. His transformation is cool though. His alt mode makes starscream look like ... butt.

Arcee, I really like her as well.

The movie line is great, but it would be better if they were near the same quality of the classics line. Those classics toys feel much more solid, on average. the paint apps are much better as well.

Starscream is rather neat, with all his missiles, just careful that you don't hit him and fire them all off. I like Speed dial 900

They are alright. Compared to the Animated toys that we are going to be getting the Movie toys rock.

I like'em, I just can't find them. I did luck out and get an 08 Bumblebee, however, when I transform him, the right sholder takes way too much force to pull it out, and the little yellow sholder pieces on his arms keep poping off.

No, no one likes them, but ignore the fact they are still somewhat difficult to find in stores.

I got a bunch of them and I don't regret getting any of them, even Deluxe Brawl even though his arms drive me a little nuts. My favorites are probably Deluxe Barricade and Deluxe Arcee, though voyager Black Out also is a favorite of mine. I only plan on getting one more of the current line and that is Payload. I was going to skip the new ones but I twas taking a look and I just love how this one looks in robot and vehicle modes. Now all I have to do is wait for the local stores to get restocked.

Individually, there are some good ones: Dreadwing, Bonecrusher, Voyager Megatron.

But as a line it just has a lot of problems: hit-or-miss automorph, weak plastic, etc.

I have been rather picky about the movie line. More so than most other lines before. Of course it doesn't help much that I can't find anything. In fact I have actually found more Titaniums at my local Target than Movie toys.

However I have been fortunate to find both 08BB and Leader Brawl on the first try. In fact I wasn't even looking for Brawl really I just found him one day out of the blue. Only one they had too. They so need to make more big Cons. Brawl looks awesome towering over the bots. Really makes the fact that they were out numbered even more impossing with the power the Cons were packing.

I'm happy with most of the movie toys. They're all really well engineered (some of the transformations, like Leader Prime's and Jazz's, are just so much fun!!!)

My only quibbles are that some of them don't really look like the movie models (like Ratchet, Megatron... even Barricade could be a little more faithful to the movie render, especially his arms) and that the scale (for the Decepticons at least) is all off. Why is Bonecrusher, a Buffalo MCV that is actually larger than an M-1 tank, almost smaller than Barricade in vehicle mode? Same goes for Blackout (and those white hands are awful).

Other than that, most of the figures are great. I'm also impressed at how well they managed to use the design style for the non-movie bots, like Wreckage and Dropkick, and make some really excellent figures.

When I first opened them up I really hated some of them, especially the hands since I couldn't uses weapons from the other lines. Too bad they couldn't make them all like leader OP's hands. The ones I've opened up.

Deluxe Jazz - the worse, hands down
Voyager Megatron - plastic tentacles?
Voyager Optimus - it would be great if I was a leader and had movevable thumbs
Deluxe Brawl - who needs hands when my weapon doesn't come off
Deluxe Bonecrusher - i will scratch you and then bear hug you to death
Deluxe Bumblebee - the best of the worse

Now I understand that they did this for articulation because the old lines just had a detailed block with a hole in it for guns (which I like) but then i look at how good leader prime's hands are I get annoyed that they couldn't do half of that in the other figures.

My only other gripe is that the transformations looked so complicated in the movie that you'd have to make them all supreme class just to get close. I'm just wondering who's fault that is.

Well I love most of the movie toys. I think its great we have realistic alt modes ala G1. Some of the bot modes deffinately could have been better. But 08 Bumblebee alone makes the line great.

I agree that there are some figures of such sucktitude that it would not have been in Classics or Cybertron. But I enjoy the movie aesthetics more than any other line (FINALLY! They REALLY don't look like humans!!!), and there are some real gems in this line that are unique.

Otherwise I do agree, Cybertron and Classics were better but my favourites are still leader Prime and Megs in this line.

I really like what they've done with this line. They brought me back into collecting. The movie made me buy some figures for sure. But the fact that I was pretty impressed by the toys I got, really made go back into to hell known as collecting. Blackout, Ironhide and Leader Prime were my first ones. Blackout's alt mode is awesome, Ironhide overall is one my favorite transformers, and Leader Prime is almost perfect(my opinion...)

So my first impression of this line was pretty good. And after that, it was good surprises after good surprises. Everything I bought so far is great.

Sure some are having some issues, but overall, they're great. Repainting some figures can really make them look like alternators. Well maybe not alternators, but they can really look awewsome with a little metallic pain.

Overall, its really one great toy line.
