Why does Cybertron Galvatron have so much less than Prime?

I have neither figure, but it looks like Galvatron only gets 3 modes, while Prime's got 5... Galvatron has like 2 major weapons in robot mode while Prime's a bajillion. Doesn't it seem like Galvatron is underpowered?

I know Galvatron is just a redeco of Megs... but still...

I dont know, but I wish I picked him up when I saw him at TRU last summer. Well Galvatron IS a weapon so maybe thats why he doesnt have that many? =P

Cause the cyb/gf Megs/Galv mold was rather disapointing?

Thats hat I'm sticking to.

Megs/Galvs is only too big cuase he dosnt really DO anythingwith all that size. Prime is one of the best primes out there, and is just fine the size he is!

I happen to strongly disagree. He's a great toy with plenty of hidden features. He's in G1 Megatron's color scheme as well. I was very satisfied with him.

Admitedly, I only have Megatron and his terrible colour scheme (cause Hasbro never released Galv here), but it just isnt a fantastic Megs/Galv. Race cars have to be pretty far down the list of alt modes you'd expect seriously evil badguys to have. He also is a pig to pose (and his head seems to have rather restricted movment too), and the weaponary dosnt look particularly cool or menacing.

He also has the jet/ship mode as well. As for weaponry. I thought his gun was a bit silly until I attached it to his arm so that it sort of resembles the original Megatron's arm cannon. The head not having much articulation doesn't bug me. It's funny because I just looked at my entire display of Cybertron figures and none of them have their heads turned more than Galvatron's extreme ability. I figure, as long as they can look left and right or at least a good portion of, I'm good. I can make up the rest with posing. Eh, you don't like him, it's cool. I happen to like mine very much.

Yeah to each their own hey, most people hate movie Leader Megs but I love him to bits.

And Cybertron Galvatron's car mode actually looks really groovy to me. I think movie Megatron is a much more powerful foe, but a racer as an alt. mode? Unusual, which is why I think Galvatron's so popular and expensive nowadays. I really think it's a creative alt. mode for a bad guy, and one of the coolest modes I've ever seen (on photos).

Mind you his space cruiser mode is also sick.

Batmobile mode is ok, jet mode is a bit silly, transformation is okay but the robot mode is a bit disapointed. Gun is too small and the ankles are so flimsy that's he almost impossible to pose when combined with Dark Ligerjack. That's bad engineering.

I like the figure. He's buff and looks genuinely menacing.

But you're right, his ankles are garbage.

He looks aweesome with Dark Leobreaker, and is the perfect Galvatron repaint for that series, he's a monster in robot form, the G-1 Megatron colors are exceptional.. I love him too..I shall own him and Dark Ligerjack some day..

You are correct though, he should have come with that Mega Sword that he had at the final battle, and there should have been some other combiner characters to add to his strength.. and still I love him:

Don't forget his body can reshape and form his Fusion Blaster, it's kinda like the G-1 Megatron's Canon, only it comes from the podlike parts on his back..

Image

Interesting, I found no images of this mode on seibertron site, or the TFKenkon site.. is it possible that you can't form Megatron's Fusion canon on the Toy??

It wasn't an official mode in the instructions. I think the day that was animated in the show was 'smoke crack with hookers day' at the studio.

About the Savage Claw mode...

Am I the only person to NEVER have even bothered with this on either Prime or Megatron?

It is one mode that I think looks unbearably stupid...

So how stupid is that, they never incorporated the Fusion canon into the toy design??? They should have thought ahead or something...Can somebody give this a try and see if it is at all possible.. because if it's not, then that is kinda lame...

Yeah the Ligerjack combos look a little off, especially due to the non movement inwards thing.. it makes the arm seem less articulated in the toy...though the Nemesis Breaker and Megatron color coordination is exceptional..I still like it though... I just wish thy had incorporated some more articulation into the leobreaker design, it would have been cool to pose Megatron with the claw arm in an upwards position..

Still it would have been nice to see that Fusion Canon on the toy, then atleast for me, all would be forgiven..

all you do is flip the parts that hold his cyber key weapons so that they are facing his front. It really looks stupid IMO. But I gotta say the Galvatron version is the best of the two due to the better paint scheme.

I really think reason that the toy has no weapons or modes is because of the stupid cartoon, were he has the armor of unicron and is able to tap into and shoot lighting among other things. So what else would you need to stop an army of autobots just look what he did to red alert, scattershot and hotshot forcing them to be reformated.

I skipped Megatron to get Galvatron, but then only ever saw 1 Galvatron, and had to pass on him.

I still want him, but I never realised how tiny his gun was. I have to admit I am a big fan of Galvatron's Gun, even if it is a bit silly for him to spray opponents with bullets, rather than fire bolts of electricity at them.

His Batmobile mode owns any race-car mode barring Classics Mirage.

ok, I agree that car mode is fantastic!! and Now that I know that he can form his Fusion Canon.... HE WILL BE MINE!!!!

HMMMMMMMmmm...........Now where did I set that disposable income????

I never got Megatron (or Galvatron, but then he wasn't released here), but if I had I think I'd actually have redubbed him Menasor. I don't get Megatron from him at all, but with his car mode there's a definite Stunticon vibe going on.

No you're not the only one to have not bothered. I never bothered with the Savage/Dark Claw Modes either. Now Sonic Wing Mode, that I have done and it is pure awsomeness! :-P
