We have seen some of what Hasbro will be offering in 2007 as part of the Star Wars Transformers. Now Jediinsider.com has posted some new information on what fans of the line can expect this year. First this year there will be twelve new figures. Also The Darth Vader Death Star figure will be more then 12 inches tall and priced at $49.99. His cape will be able to be stored and mini-vehicles will be able to attach to Vader in Death Star mode. That's not all. New figure will be Commander Cody to Turbo Tank, Saesee Tiin to Jedi Starfighter, Mace Windu to Jedi Starfighter, Darth Vader to TIE Fighter vs Obi-Wan to Jedi Starfigter, Imerial Walker to AT-AT Driver, and Snowspeeder to Pilot. I still can't get over that these things are actually selling this well. On the same note, I still think this is one of the worst takes on such a crossover ever. If the bot modes did not resemble their counterparts so much, it might actually be cool and make me want to buy them. I mean, just imagine if Unicron transformeed into the Death Star! How does having Vader transform into it even make sense (yes, I know they are look-a-like mechs, but still, come on...)? Yes, there was potential for this line in the beginning, but to me it's just Animorphs: Generation 2.

I personally hated the figs that came out last year, but that Vader/Death Star looks pretty awsome.

Santa: "Here you go SoulOfPrimus; Me, Jesus and Seibs got you a complete set of SWTF's! Merry Christmas!"
SoulOfPrimus: "Aww, I'd rather have Aids."

Buying Saesee Tiin at the minimum. That's the best SWTF to date.
Probably gonna be too broke to buy the Death Star/Vader, though. |It looks pretty good too.

Most of these will at least be worth a look for me. I'll wait and see them on the pegs before I make any judgements since I have been wrong about them before.

Instead of these nice vehicles with crap robot forms, they should try severly remoulding already good TFs into SW vehicles. Classics Jetfire, for example, can store an Action Fleet figure in his cockpit in robot mode, and I'm sure with some massive remoulding could make a kickass, I dunno, ARC fighter or something.

This has nothing to do with this topic, but when the movie merchandising started to roll on out, I made a long list of TF products that would be on the way, one of which was BATMAN.
Well I just checked TFORMERS, and guess what, a set of BATMAN Transformers.
Told ya so!
PS they make these Star Wars craps look great!

I guess I'm a rare person who enjoys most of the SWTFs. Now I fully admit that they don't compare to true TFs. But a good number of them I like.
The Jedi Starfighter and the Slave 1 Boba/Jango mold suck pretty bad. Also not a fan of the Grevious bike thing.
However the Falcon, the Clone Fighter, and the Infiltrator Darth Maul are all decent figures. The Emperor's shuttle, the X-Wing and Vader's Tie-Fighter are decent though flawed figures.
I'm looking forward to most of the coming line as well.
However I'm also a kitbasher and I've got the Clone Trooper new hands and new head already, and a few of the others are gonna get some bot mode mods as well to improve them a bit.

Well I think the old SWTFs looked like crap, but a couple of these new ones look really good to me. I like the yellow one (with the face mask folded DOWN. Ugly face) and the tank one.

Don't we all?
That Vader looks cool, but it's nothing I'd pass up an actual Transformer for.

I myself like the Star Wars Transformers.
The Vader TIE Advanced is my fav thus far. Plus I think I am one of the few likers of the Greavous bike thingy.
