Broken Bumblebee... :(

Yeah, I was just playing with my '08 Bumblebee (which I hadn't done in about 6 days), and I had transformed him a couple times with no difficulty, but then suddenly his Automorph jammed, and I can't get him to work at all.
Is there any way I can send this thing back to Hasbro and get a replacement? After all, it's '08 BB, so the store I bought him at most likely won't have him, and even if, I can't get him back to car mode meaning I can't get him back into package meaning I can't return him.

He was my favorite. I'm rather pissed.

You can return him to Hasbro BUT they tell right off the bat they may not be able to exchange it for the same exact toy if it is not in stock at the time and they will send you a different TF toy of equal or greater value.
So it's a crapshoot.

^ Awesome. Great. So if I send in my '08 Bumblebee (hard to find, best toy in lineup, going for 30+ on eBay), I may get a Barricade. Or a Wreckage. Or another one of the ones I already have.
This sucks.

^^^^^That's probably exactly what will happen too. You'll either end up with a figure you already have or never wanted in the first place(shelf-warmer) as a replacement, unfortunately.

The only thing that is springloaded on the leg is his rear window. The rest of it is just gearwork resting upon one another. A screwdriver should be able to help you open the leg up, realign the gears and put it back together.
If Blackout was any indication...this line is relatively easy to repair. Even if the gears would strip, he'd still transform, but the Automorph on that leg would be useless.
Relax, try a screwdriver, and see what happens.

Try Autobot's suggestion, it should be a fairly easy fix, but chances are that it will continually happen now that it has happened once.

Out of the hundreds of thousands of figures of 08 Bumblebee sold and the hundreds of figures sold to members of these boards there have only been a few complaints, nothing even close to the complaints above the Movie Blackout figure, so I'd say you'd be fairly safe in getting a decent version of 08 Bumblebee.
Dont let the tiny percentage of bad/mismade figures through you off a generally good figure.

Wait until they have the movie figures out in the stores. They are over priced on ebay now or in any place around the net.

mine almost came to the point that the gears almost misalligned due to frustration when i first got it... the hood/shoulder part is really tricky at first...

Yeah, took a closer look this morning, and the gears on the hood are stripped. At least, the bottom two are. Also, the a few other gears are kinda bent and clicky.
Is there anything I can do to remedy that? Or should I just leave him as a Displayformer not a Playformer?
I'm getting a new Playformer (Classics Prime ^_^) next week anyway, so.... but CCBB is a great figure to actually play with.

I know you're talking about "Concept Camero BB", but remember, the alternative BB figure is "Classic Camero BB" XD

Sorry that it is broken. My hood was stuck between modes and the arms were not clicked outward far enough. Sounds like yours is completely broken, but pulling the shoulder area out more may help. Sorry to hear it, it took me about 75 trips to find mine.

Here's what I did...give this a try!
A: First, take off those darn shoulder things. They are just gonna' fall off all the time anyway, so I just took em' off and put them in a safe place.
B: Make sure the shoulders are nice and out of the way of the hood.
C: Make sure the body looks to be in the same postion as it looks in this part of the instructions.
D: Go ahead and transform the legs. Be sure to connect them with the gun thingy.
E:Ok, see that middle flap in front of the window? Hold that up while slowly putting up the hood thing.
F: If ever it gets stuck, kind of do the Automorph yourself. just to help it. Remember to keep that middle flap up at all times!
G: Once it starts to look like a car, just fit everything together until it's transformed.
That's how I did it. Good luck!
