Trying. Trying my luck with Leader Brawl

I have a Leader Brawl MISB. If anyone is interested, I'm selling him for $150 or best offer, plus shipping. Considering how rare this figure is, $150 is a steal! You're better off getting from me instead of those sumbitch scalpers who will probably get this rare item bid to the high heavens on E-bay, so why not just save yourself the money and aggravation? If BB74 got bid up to $199, imagine what Brawl's ceiling could be!

Okay okay just kidding  . I do have a Leader Brawl, and he is MISB. However what I can't figure out is the Try Me button. I can't get it to work, so I don't know what I'm supposed to try and see. My worry is that something is broken, in which case my MISB Leader Brawl really isn't so M, although still ISB.

Can anyone advise me how to get this to work? That way I'd be assured that he can stay MISB without taking him out to check for sure. Of course I'm probably thinking of excuses to open him up too. Save me from myself!

its very easy i had trouble with this at first because the lever and button thingy confused me.you dont pull any lever as it says on the box.look at the front of the figure where the grey lever hinges to that black piece just push down on that exact same spot.brawls head should just pop down a little bit and his terrets should light up and sounds should go off.

Thanks Tommy, but I can't seem to find the bit you're talking about. Any pics? A useful arrow drawn in would be very much appreciated! At the very least, yo'uve assured me that my ldr Brawl isn't broken, which is good news!

Try me button. Isn't that just a little minor problem? There's more buttons that make the same or another sound right?

The grey bit that sticks out by itself in the middle of his chest. Push it down, and his guns will light up.

If they don't, he's probably get dead batteries.

off topic, but a couple of ultimate BBs that i saw that were just put out had dead batteries(or no batteries) because whenever i tried their 'try me' buttons, nothing happened  .

Chances are something was disconnected during shipping. Mine was that way too, but when I got him out of the box, no battery replacement needed. He was talking, and honking up a storm.

I dont know how to post pics yet ill try to explain it better.that grey thing that looks like the letter u it has a grey square button thats in the middle you dont mess with the button im just describing then lever part.look at that the black piece i was talking about that hinges to it has one of those wire ties on itjust push the u looking lever below the square button down. dont be afraid of pushing it hard you wont break it.you have to kinda push it hard.

the easiest way i can describe it is put your finger in the whole and push down on the circular middle piece thats in the middle bottom of the u lookin lever.that sircular piece is the part of brawl that sticks out closes to you when hes right in front of you let me know if you got it or not.and if you know what im talking about.

I think the "try me button" sucks. I had to replace the batteries in my Leader Prime before I tried the light/sound feature. I bought this figure over the internet but it must have been tried too many times before I received it.

When I bought my Leader Megatron I made sure the light/sounds worked before I left Wal*Mart. If they didn't work, I was going to find a manager to see if they would knock a couple of $$ off or give me new 2 AAs. Of course, this was the only figure they had on the shelf that day.

I have kids and I hate replacing batteries in new toys as soon as they're received just because everyone else is playing with them in stores. The worst thing is these toys companies buy the batteries that cost a penny for 100 batteries.

Sorry for ranting, but what are these toys companies thinking?

The gray plastic piece is a pain. Your best bet is to just push his head down a bit. I just tried my MISB Brawl, and it's darn near impossible to activate him unless you push his head down.

There's a pretty heavy spring behind that "try me" button. Pushing his head down bypasses it.

He'll also make noise when you push in the front of the main turrets barrel, but boy is that way down in there! You don't have a prayer of reaching that sucker.

Hey Tommy, Thanks! I got it to work. Sure makes a lot of noise, differnt types of weapon discharge noises. Certainly better than Megatron's noises. I'm only disappointed that his eyes don't light up though. Wouldn've liked it just for uniformity's sake, like Prime's.

Yeah it is a minor problem and if I were taking him out for play value it doesn't matter. But it does matter to me that toys I want to keep MISB have everything right that's supposed to be right. So since the only thing you can do with a Ldr toy is to press that Try Me lever, I wanted to make sure it was working properly.
