LarkinVain does a great job of kitbashing, and what he has produced here begs the question... will we no doubtedly see a repaint of Ironhide and Ratchet in this format for the Botcon next year under the Banner Transformers universe/Classics 2.0?





Granted I'm not one to buy into the Botcon stuff, and we all know how I feel about them, especially since the more popular characters that we loved ended up there.. but they are nice to look at...and this kind of givesd me a feeling that Energon Towline is very sought after simply for this purpose..

Still, he's much better then that stupid Blue Movie Repaint..the mold is perfect, and even gives us a G-1 Feel with that transformable Trailer Platform.. Nice!! I'm definitely thinking about just buying the Energon toys that I want to kitbash and repaint and make my own Botcon exclusives, it's got to be cheaper this way...

Yep. Ironhide and Ratchet were botcon exclusives two years ago. Which is a shame, cos the mould is perfect for the classics line. I woulda loved to have classics Ironhide and Ratchet repainted from Energon Towline.

I have some Ironhides for sale if anyone is interested. Check my Carbombya thread. It is an awesome figure; perfect Classics Ironhide.

If Hasbro do use it as the basis for Classics Ironhide/Ratchet, I'd buy them. But then I'll want them regardless.

Since they are Botcon figures, they wont use them in a general release line, just like we wont get a Classics Thundercracker, Dirge or Thrust.

They will have to be brand new molds if Hasbro ever decide to make Classics Ironhide and Ratchet.

LOL funny that these botcon repaints slipped by your attention, they are very popular even two years later.

The ratchet version especially, because it didnt come with the botcon boxset. It isnt unusual to see it fetching a final bid of $350-$400 on ebay.

I think when towline was released, fans everywhere could already see the repaints coming.
