Best. Mold. Ever.

I bought Movie Voyager Starscream, and I am in love with the Movie Seeker Mold!!!!!!

Maybe I'm just a sucker for a figure that shoots 6 missiles, which happen to fire even when I barely put pressure on the triggers :(

Does anyone have any pictures of an actual F-22 Raptor, because I'm wondering if the legs in alternate mode are there on purpose or not.

Heh, if you're looking for 6 missile action you could do a lot worse than G2 Dreadwing and his various repaints. 6 missile gatling cannon, 6 drop bombs and his little buddy gets two launchers as well. Serious firepower.

Machine Wars Starscream can drop quite a few bombs too

You mean Skyquake of course. I just can't bring myself to think of any version of that mould as Starscream. :P

I'm trying very hard to make myself like movie Starscream's robot mode because Starscream is my favorite of all the Transformers. But I'm finding it difficult because he looks like a gorilla. That gorilla look would go well with Optimus Primal but it just isn't Starscream. :(

doesn't energon SS look like a modified F-22 (without tail wings) too or is it just me?

I felt the same way, "it just isn't Starscream." But then he grew on me. The detail on his chest plates won me over.

Yes, yes he does. Almost exactly like a F-22.

If you like missiles, hunt down a Turbomaster Thunderclash. You will not be disappointed (unless you get one sans the missiles :P )

I think it stinks. The bulky undercarriage crap ruins the alt mode for me, I don't like the plastic, and for me the overall design is too at odds with Starscream's character.

okay, it has won me over somewhat. But I still can't bring myself to pose it in the movie accurate chicken-legged mode. That's just retarded.

What I like about it is that you have a number of options that can alter the appearance somewhat. You can arrange the tail fins in various different configuration, and straighten out his legs. I also like the design, while it's not Starscream, it's interesting on it's own terms. It can look like it has the padded shoulders of a quarterback, or a bulky gorilla-like brute.

I thought that I read somewhere that the movie alt modes were in most cases inspired by the Energon equivalents. It makes sense - look at Starscream, Energon Ironhide, Armada Red Alert/Ratchet, even Energon Megatron. They all resemble the movie incarnations, at least in alt mode. I'd like to see this in "official" writing, but I'm convinced....

Best. Mold. Ever... I sincerely doubt King Starscream of Cybertron would agree. Even Takara GF Starscream could out last 6 missles. Then Energon Starscream's mold is even better both in price and modes. Thrown in Classics too. IMHO, of course.

I really like Voyager SS, especially in his G1 colors. THough I must admit, he would have been a LOT better as a leader class. That would have fixed a lot of the robot kibble on his undeercarriage.

While I certainly can't rattle off the best mold ever from the top of my head, I CAN tell you movie Starscream isn't it. I hate the figure. Actually hate it. He's quite possibly the most dissappointing figure I've bought in a long time. In a collection of about 400 TFs that says a lot to me.

Hmm, I haven't opened mine yet, but, best mold ever? I really think not.

you know what, a leader class version of the Movie Starscream wouldn't be so bad, and the proportions would probably be alot better, and his hands could actually be shown, plus the missile packs on his wings could open and expand enough to fit into a piece of plastic that shoots out fromn the middle of his hands and makes it look like he's got a missile gun like in the movie, then the undercarriage problem is solved without having the huge bulky arms....

I like the Movie Starscream, he's actually pretty cool, and that whole scene with him and Megatron is just priceless..

but I'm not very impressed with the Voyager toy...

It happens to even the best of us, I'm afraid.

On topic; For the Starscream character, it's a terrible mold.
Someone as spineless and sniveling as Starscream shouldn't
have the bulk of a bouncer. He just shouldn't.

I like the toys though. Not love, but like. His legs look
poorly tacked on and his arms just kinda hang around useless
in altmode. Guess we can't win 'em all.

The actual Raptor has smooth skin all over. No legs under the carriage or giant gattling missile gun under the wings.

Voyager SS is really poorly executed.

He could be better in a Leader mold.

Okay, so BME was kind of overstatement. But I was pretty enthsiastic as it was a my first military plane fig.

Sorry, man. The toy is just not very well thought out for me.

But i still like it though. It is at least better than Leader Megatron. Megs is probably the worst Movie toy so far.
