Hey everyone,
I just managed to pick up a Barricade Movie Deluxe a few days ago after weeks of searching, but some of the plastic is scratched and the paint comes off so easily while I am transforming him to and from robot mode. Anyone else having the same problem? Kinda cheap, but I guesss 16 bucks for a sweet toy, can't complain

I personally don't own Barricade, but i've had the same experiences with my movie toys aswell. It just happens with the toys after you play with them.

no paint scratching for me here, tho.

My Classics Rodimus was scratched right out of the box, too. So it goes...

My Deluxe Bumblebee and Jazz are kinda scratched too. Guess that it's normal.

It's a movie line problem more than anything else. Personally my Barricade has not had any paint scratches, but it is only a matter of time before it happens.

a lot of my toys are scratched and have paint chips.... but then again you have to live with the fact that not every toy can be perfect. when you see a fig with scratched paint on his face you search for a better one. and when you do find it, he'll have paint chips on his chest. and it goes on and on. when im in the store it takes me a while to find the best looking fig out of them all before i go and buy it... probably 1 out of god knows how many is actually "mint." so if its minor scratches and paint chips here and there, dont sweat it, but if its seriously f'ed up then its one messed up fig.

thanks doods, yeah it's heartbreaking to watch "to punish and enslave" slowly fade away because it's such a nice little detail on the toy =( but oh well, it's still fun as hell to transform.

The paint on mine is fine, but the arms and legs keep dropping off.
I personaly don't like this figure at all, he wont stand or pose well, and is just a poor design.
Alot of fans love him though, and thats cool, to each their own.

None of my movie figures have any problems with the paint. The plastic on some of them is wearing away though.

indeed, the plastic is already scratched up a lot of the time before even opening it!

heh, if it make you feel better, last night i opened up my leader brawl and the paint chipped everywhere.... especially on one of the decepticon symbols.... and thats where good paint application counts the most

I've been blessed. No real problems. Prime's flames are chipped a bit on the fenders (still not sure how...) but other than that...no complaints from me.

Exact same problem here, too. I let a friend transform him without knowing how to, scratched the little guy up :S

Best way to touch it up is to find the exact match of metallic silver and black (for the lines) in a model paint (or something that will hold up and work with the plastic) and then use a sealant of some kind. That's about your best bet.
