Ok so there is the Hasbro Vector Prime with All white coloring, and some minor deco differences from the Takara Version...
Image

then the Takara Version is kinda Greyish a bit and more like the cartoon, IMHO, and then there is the Hasbro Gold version who showed up at the end of the series to give prime the sword, like Obi Wan Kenobi or something...

Anyways, which one is the better buy??? Which one is the Better color scheme?

Teh Takara one, hands down. The paint scheme is vastly superior on the white/grey version and imo way better than the gold. As is the quality of the clear plastic used on the wings. The Hasbro versions feel extremely flimsy in comparison. The other day BBTS had a MLC one for like 20 bucks.

The Hasbro version of Vector Prime kinda bothered me with respect to his wings and legs- they show the Takara version on the packaging but it doesnt have those same accents- stuff like that makes the Takara version stand out better.

MLC=Mint Loose and Complete

MLC = Mint Loose Complete

Yes, check out the galleries. The Takara version definately POPS more. Actually, I'd go so far as to say that the Takara version is probably one of my top 5 non G1 related figures ever made.

Thanks Bonger, and wow, up there with G-1 huh?? Cool!!

I'm debating on which version is the best to own.. I may get the gold variant sometime, but I really need to know which one is the best.. so far most people have said the Takara Version.. is the takara Version the most Animation accurate?? also I noticed the Hasbro version has more gold accents around the chest area, is that supposed to be that way in the cartoon??

ok so is the Takara Version red or pink?? the gallery pic uptop looks kinda pink, I don't want a Pink vector prime...is it just the lighting??

It isnt pink, more like a maroon, regardless it is vastly superior to the chocolate brown on the hasbro release.

I have the Takara version, the hasbro gold version and the Alpha Trion version. I purposely avoided the hasbro white version because it pales in comparison to the Takara.

And not just colors, but plastic quality on the clear parts is a big difference.

Wow!! so the Takara Version is more cartoon accurate in coloring and detail, and the Plastic is better as well... nice!!! I think that makes up my mind, Galaxy Force Vector Prime it is then!!!

do you guys think that the White parts on the Botcon Alpha Trion would have benefited to have the more subdued Greyish white coloring, like Vector Prime??

You can see the great detailing of Vector Prime better on the Takara version, and the proper plastic winds and sword will not warp like Hasbro's version.

Although the Takara version does cost a fair bit more, especially when shipping is added, it's worth it, Vector Prime is a great figure to own.

If I may be of assistance (and I may...)...

Image

-The Hasbro sword is unacceptably crappy.
-Tak Vector Prime is superior in everyway a collector would care about.
-Hasbro gold VP is quite striking and can be found in some WalMarts as a clearance item right now.
-Alpha Trion hangs out with exceptionally cool people

I have the all white one. I wasn't a fan of any of the othere colors that they did(wasn't to happy about the white either) but I would love to see him in some type of pewter or bronze.

Takara version is much nicer. :-(
But he didn't come in a 2-pack with the little Starscream for £25 so its the half-painted Hasbro one I have.
Gold(khaki?) one is alright, but I'd rather it look like that picture in the first post.

i guess i'm in the minority...i like the gold one.

although the firmer sword/wings is a strong selling point on the takara ver.

Nice Awesome Picture CP!!! Oh and the ones on BBTS are like 30.00 for a loose complete Vector prime, the 42.50 was an MISB for Vector prime, so for 12.50 more I got one Mint in sealed Box!!! not bad.. i think I'm gonna troll around for a clearence Gold Vector Prime.. any weak plastic querks like the Hasbro white ver.??

My gold version's wings seems pretty correctly structured. No signs of warping. In fact, during changing i may have broken the wings if it weren't Hasbro user friendly(dropped it  ). Takara VP does rock, but so does my Hasbro GF Vector Prime.

see this brings me back to my earlier problems with getting into a particualr toyline series, REPAINTS, they make some really good repaints, and then some crappyones... So when trying to limit myself from getting over a certain amount in my collection, it really becomes hard to decide which ones are the best to get, and which ones should be avoided all together.. so from what I understand so far is that the Hasbro regular version is crappy, while the Gold and Takara Version are a must buy...

I already bought Starscream and it looks like I will have 2 molds of him, the Galaxy force version and the Hasbro Supreme version, then I have to get the Megatron and then Galvatron repaints, and then I already own Optimus Prime from Takara, so I may have to get the Galaxy Force Black repaint from hasbro considering all the keys and such... that one though I'm a little iffy in the purchase...

Then on top of that there is the Vector Prime repaint, Phew!!! anymore repaints in Cybertron that I may need to look at??

Depends on your own preference. As for Cybertron, i settled with Cybertron Prime and Galvatron only( :-? ). As for the rest of the line, i picked the version most appealing to me(Override over GTS, Brakedown GTS over reg, Dark Crumblezone over reg, Ransack GTS over red, Excellion over Hotshot, etc) Of course, their opinions matters, and the galleriy pics justifies the comparisons. But in the end, it's simply up to the collector. Buy them all or settle with just a favourite one...or 2.

yeah i suppose, I guess my next acquisitons should be Megatron and Galvatron, I already bought:

Takara Galaxy Force Convoy
Takara Galaxy Force Starscream
Takara Galaxy Force Vector Prime

Hasbro Dark Scorponok is next...

So far that is all I own of the Cybertron Series...sadly

Dark Scorponok rocks
Takara GF Starscream has been lingering in my mind for months if not years, but i shall own him soon...
Speaking of which, how does the Takara Starscream feel and look regarding it's articulations and paint. Is the white portion clear white, or kinda silver grey... the galleries seem to have a shiny white background, so it's a bit hard on my semi-colorblind vision when it comes to white.

the articulation i'm unsure of, as I have yet to open the box and check him out, as I do with most of my MIB collection...but I will say that his colors are more of a silver/grey then they are white..
