There are several KO G1 Devastators that go for that or cheaper. An original Devastator will go for much, much more. Here is the real deal:

First off I just wanted to say that G1 1985 Devastator was the one toy I always wanted as a kid and never was able to get. My parents always procrastinated about getting him for my birthday or christmas (both of which are in December) and of course they were all sold out by then and impossible to find especially with no ebay back in the day ya know?
a full 19 years later I was finally able to aquire him shortly before the movie came out. I managed to get him for about 70 bucks of Ebay. He was not the Gift package, he was collected individually and the previous owner also packaged all the cut out bios of each constructicon with my order. The only things missing from my devastator are the Green waist belt (that I still can't seem to find anywhere) and the Scrapper canopy which I might just take off of a knock off myself along with a few of the individual constructicon guns and drill bits.
He is not very articulate by any means (particularly in the legs which just snap on the missle mount) but let me tell you putting him together was awsome and well worth every penny I paid IMO. Consider the sentimental value he holds with me and I would have paid much more.
I currently have him displayed along side G1 Superion (another I waited 19 years to aquire) who is 100% complete with the recent Classics Devastator from walmart in the back of each holding both their heads in his mandibles.
Is he worth it?
That all depends on your reasons for wanting him.
If you want something articulate, then the answer is no.
If you want a vintage classic that will always be worth something then, Hell YES!!
Which is it?

Ebay has been slowly but surely getting flooded with KO's of various combiners, Cassettes and WSTF figures.
If a deal on ebay seems too good to be true, thats because it is.
As for the Devastator figure, it is one of the nicer looking gestalts, when fully complete, when not complete is does lose alot of it's charm. It's not a toy that can really move much, but for display only purposes, its very hard to beat.

There is no such thing. There are only Diaclone, G1, G2 and Knock-offs.

Any chance you have a pic or a link to a pic? That will help clear things up.
Here is the Classics Devastator:

Umm, he is talking about Classics Devastator. And IMO, it does the Classics brand a great injustice. It should really never have been made imo.

If you're finding it retail it will be $30. I passed on that thing so many times when it was out because it's just a japanese repaint which is a shame for the classics line. It has five instead of six constructicons and only three molds. Pass on it if for your collection but I wouldn't be suprised if some people would be willing to pay more for it.

$10 would be more worth it and some painting then it might be worth getting. But no more then 10. =\

I like it myself, but then I'm a combiner junkie and I'm a fan of the energon molds which the classics Dev is a repaint of. I do wish we'd gotten a true six member rendition of the big guy but I doubt thats ever going to happen again.

Eventhough they only used 3 molds, I kinda dig the combined form. I have the Energon Constructicon, so my thoughts still says it shouldn't be recycled as a Classic line.

Awww, you got the only cool incarnation of Wheelie.
How is that figure?
I tell you what, you may all moan that it's crap, but I love that set. And yet not one has hit UK retail. Not one.
That's the only injustice I see.

Its a great Wheelie in bot mode, I have it too lol. I currently have him chillin with MP-01. Alt mode is kinda weak though. Too blocky.
Still, doesn't mean I like Wheelie.

Superb. Best transformable incarnation of Wheelie we will likely ever see.
Dead Metal wrote:Arn't they fanmade?
No, they aren't fan made, they just haven't been made on a large scale yet.
I can start a thread about Wheelie and Cyclonus if anyone's interested. I have tons of pics with them and Classics and Cybertron figs. I don't want to keep derailing this thread.
