Tough Question, What are the Top 10 Best Transfomers from the "entire" Unicron Trilogy?

So, if you had to choose, what are your most valued and rated the Best of the "entire" Trilogy line up, looks, articulation, transfomability, repaints, ect... You name it!! for what ever reason you want to list them but here is the hardest part all together, it can only be 10 out of the entire Trilogy...

I know sounds like an impossible request....It's hard for me to choose, but I have finally compiled a list.. and I'll tell you, it was very hard to do:

1. Cybertron Optimus Prime
2. Cybertron Galvatron
3. Cybertron Primus
4. Armada Unicron
5. Cybertron Sideways
6. Energon Galvatron
7. Armada Magna Convoy
8. Cybertron Starscream
9. Energon Landmine
10. Energon Quickstrike

phew!!! that was a tough decision, especially from viewing the Gallery and all.. if we went on to 20, i would have placed Energon Megatron next.. but it's only 10 figures, so It was a really hard decision..

Finished here?? Try it in the Beast Wars universe...

tough call huh??

Ok, sure I'll play...

1. Armada Unicron
2. Energon Galvatron
3. Cybertron Optimus Prime
4. Cybertron CyroScourge
5. Cybertron Primus
6. Energon Shockblast
7. Cybertron Soundwave
8. Cybertron Sidways
9. Cybertron Galvatron
10.Energon Constructicon Maximus

Narrowly missing this list would be Cybertron Dark Crumplezone, Cybertron Shortround, Energon Mirage, Armada Galvatron and Energon Tidalwave.

I picked Cyroscourge over Scourge because I like his paint job a bit better and didn't want to repeat molds on my list. I went with Armada Unicron over Energon Unicron so I'd have something from Armada and the traditional paint job, although I do like the energon one a lot.

I'll play, but my list will be purely 10 figures, not in any particular order, as it's just far too hard to seperate some figures.

Armada Galvatron
Armada Tidal Wave
Energon Galvatron
Energon Shockwave
Energon Scorponok
Cybertron Prime
Cybertron Primus
Cybertron Evac
Cybertron Red Alert
Cybertron Jetfire

This took me about 10 minutes to finalise from my rough list of about 30 figures, and I am still not pleased with it.

I know the feeling, it's a hard decision to make..it was hard for me to make that choice, what a fun game...though 20 would have opened a few more doors, but the point of this was to make you guys cringe, I know, it's crazy, but fun too...

I cringed and grtted my teeth and went back and forth, especially on Vector Prime and I kept saying, you know what Quickstrike is just too cool to let go of..

LOL.... that's coool...

Well since this is about the 10 most wanted from the entire series.. I might as well indulge the 10 almost most wanted from the entire series... he he he he he

See I told you. it's hard to choose just 10 formers from the entire Unicron trilogy..

1. Cybertron Vector Prime
2. Cybertron Megatron
3. Armada Galvatron
4. Energon Scorponok
5. Energon Megatron
6. Armada Powerlinx Jetfire
7. Cybertron Excellion
8. Cybertron Soundwave
9. Energon unicron
10. Cybertron Metroplex

Ok so I cheated, there are still another 20 more figures from that entire series I would completely get...and soon shall.. one day that is..

In no particular order:

Energon Galvatron:
He's the big daddy of the entire trilogy. There is literally, nothing, that can be spoken ill of this toy. From likeness to poseability, to design, from coloring, sculpt, and transformation; Energon Galvatron approaches TF perfection.

Energon Omega Sentinel:
Who is the coolest $50 army builder figure of all time? Him. (No, not the Powerpuff villain) Energon Omega Sentinel is big, kind of ugly, well painted, very well painted, rare, and cohesive. While a great mold, Omega Supreme was somewhat, wrong. This toy fixes those problems and gives us the potential to amass an army of Guardian Robots for the first and likely last time ever.

Energon Quickstrike:
He's really really pretty. Really.
Quckstrike maybe an upcoming cult favorite. He's got no show time, no comic pages (maybe 1...), no other appearances, nothing. He's the 'brother' of Bulkhead, whatever. Quickstrike does have an outstanding paintjob, great coloring, poseability and a very cool alt mode. Best helicopter ever? No...He's number 1,2,3,4, and 5.

Energon Landquake:
See everything I just said about Quickstrike? Replace the word 'Quickstrike' with Landquake and the word 'helicopter' with 'snowthing..' and the word Bulkhead with...oh you get the idea. Get out your stupid empty wallet and buy this toy. Crap. Could you be anymore annoying?

Cybertron Primus:
He's Primus, for Primus' sake. He's clockwork. He's spherical. He's armed to the teeth (they probably have little guns we can't see). Any real complaints about this toy are likely from people who are otherwise very angry about something else. Primus rules.

Armada Predacon:
He's the behind the scenes villain with the plot that is only self serving. The Apocalypse (X-men Apoc, not Bible apoc) of the Transformers. Well painted, an improvement on the mold strength of TM Megatron. A creative story. A vastly overlooked toy. Could he also be a minion of Unicron? Mine is.

Cybertron Dark Scorponok:
You know how people think black repaints are just the coolest thing going? Well, in this case we're talking truth. Black coloring with dull blue parts and clear red highlights make this a standout release. The original Scorponok took some heat due to his coloring. This release shows off just how good the mold is.

Tidal Wave (any/all):
Big, blocky, partially poseable, but all good, Tidal Wave in all his colorations is a sight to see. His only fault is not being 5 times his current size. He has a good transformation, great markings, and excellent playability.

Armada Unicron:
I'd be remiss in not mentioning a figure that people waited almost 20 years to get. He's Unicron and he takes **** from no one. So what if his planet mode isn't a perfect sphere. It's about 90% show accurate. Unicron is big, poseable, and downright necessary for a proper TF collection. He's the catalyst for conflict, the wanton eater of worlds, the dandy devil, the orange omega. He's Unicron and he's going to eat your lunch.

Cybertron Optimus Prime:
He's the best Prime in the trilogy. He's one of the best Prime's ever. He's a homage to everything and everything's mother. He has a mouth only when he chooses to. He's Powermaster Prime +. He comes with his own matrix. G1 Prime doesn't come with any damn matrix.

That's it CP, Bring the PAIN!!!!

I love it, great explainations of why you like them the most... what happened to Armada Super Prime, how come he didn't make that fine list of yours??

Because those are better toys. You said top 10. Those are they toys I would rescue from fire if I had to.

I never said Super Prime is one of the best toys out there.

What I argued, maybe too well, is that Super Prime is a good toy, too often overlooked, underappreciated, yet far, far better than anyone gives credit to. People slam Armada Prime, not acknowledging what the toy does, was meant to do, and what he represents.

Mine did. New year Convoy baby. That's all I have to add to this thread. I'd rather play the Beast Wars version. Carry on.
:BOT:
::EDIT::
See New year Convoy here:

I'd rather link to Ryan's gallery of him but he's got him mixed up with a bunch of stuff that isn't part of that release which could easily confuse people. Hell, I know all the differences and I get confused looking at that gallery. It's a bit easier to see what's what with this one.

You know, I knew someone was going to bring that up. I knew it.

I am going to still claim victory though, because, as you said, Convoy came with the matrix in that release, Optimus Prime did not. :P

(That's a very cool release btw. I should have bought it when it was $100, but I had a Prime at the time and didn't know any better as I had just got back into collecting. Life is one big comedy to me. )

You knew it had to be me too didn't ya? I found out about this guy when I was coming back into the hobby. It took me a couple years to get mine. Heh, besides NY Convoy the only other original body G1 Prime I've got is the Pepsi one I got signed by Peter Cullen at Botcon a couple months ago.

Point taken, the first post I did basically states who would come with me in a fire....and yeah sooo true what was said about Cybertron Optimus Prime, he is the end all be all...atleast for me.. I'm very torn between the Cybertron Galvatron and the Energon one, so I would take them both!!

damn, that is cool... but since I'm a freak for Scorponok, and imagine sweet battles of Landmine battling Scorponok, with color schemes that comliment each other, I would have to say, F-it!!! tape my two boxes together and consider them one transformer, landquake would be a great counterpart to Dark Scorponok..but since this was a 10 figures only rule. I have to go with the desert orange colors..he just looks like a landmine finder and IED (improvied Explosive Device) armored path maker..
