I was never really into any of the Energon, Armada, or Cybertron series but after seeing the Botcon 2007 Huffer I was curious about trying to get him. So once I saw he was way to much for me I did some more poking around and discovered that Cybertron Armourhide was the exact same mold. I was wondering if this toy is any good?

He's pretty neat. Worth picking up. Or you could look for the black one that's out on the movie line at Target.

To bad we don't have Target's where I live. I'm hoping to see if they have one at a store I'm going to check out. It's in an end of town where the stores don't get much business due to a large mall not to far away. Someone told me on sunday that this place has a huge amount of Transformer toys and because of the lack of shoppers to the area their virtually untouched.

Armorhide is a target exclusive though. You should ask around the forums to see if anyone has one. That might work out. It works for me.

Ah what a shame about that. Is there a traders forum here or just ask here?

The Armourhide figure is one of the best Scout class figures released in the past 5 years.
There is a movie release that is a Target exclusive that imo is not quite as nice looking as either the original Armourhide or Huffer, but will make a more the decent alternative.
Seeing as you have no targets near you, your only options would be to find someone willing to ship you one, or try your luck on ebay, as not even online stores like hasbrotoyshop stock these figures.

The Target Scout wave with Armorhide isn't out yet.
Cybertron Armorhide might be found in Wal-Marts, as they've been carrying some old stuff to make up for lack of movie product. Carbombya is this place's buy/sell/trade forum, try there as well. He will not be an impossible figure to obtain, and cheaply too.

Where are you located that doesn't have a Target. As far as I know and judging from the sightings sections the Target repaint is not widely available yet.

Since the US seems to be getting some Cybertron figures rereleased in Universe packaging there may be a chance that the original deco will resurface at retail. Ebay is currently the best bet. I was considering grabbing one a while back to bash into a Pipes to go with my Huffer and the cheapest Buy it Now prices at the time were from Canadian sellers. Well worth owning, he's a fantastic little basic.

I've seen Armorhide at a few TRUs around here. He makes for a really nice Pipes. I throw him and Huffer in with the Classics BB and Cliffjumper on the same shelves as my Alts and MPs. They look really good together. Very in scale.

Armorhide is a great little figure but the legs were very loose on mine. Might just be mine though, anyone else's like that?
Incidentally, my Botcon Huffer is not like that all, his leg joints are very tight. Go figure.
If you get the chance, buy Armorhide.

Mine is fine. Huffer is a nice lil guy too and not super pricey. The Huffer Springer set is like 70-80. Not bad compared the rest of the Botcon stuff. You should be able to get one for 40.
