New, Old Gimmick

A cpl months back I was toying with my Blackout figure and lo and behold found out his prop came off and could be used as a weapon. I know most people knew this already, but I was amazed and thrilled. Have any of you ever had a toy for a long time and realized weeks, months, or even years later that it could do something you never knew? :-?

Wow. Doesn't it kinda suck to find it years after your adulthood has surpassed childhood imagination.

No I was just happy to a) have kept it for so long and b) to give purpose to this piece I've kept.

I've never really liked Jetfire's armour (I didn't dislike it though) and preferred his sleek look.

Back on topic though, now that I have a bit of a disposable income and am pseudo-collecting, I find I buy a tf and then put him away in storage before the muscle memory of its transformation is ingrained in my mind. So I do a clean up and have a TF I've forgotten how to transform. 99% of the time its easy, but every now and then I find one I have to really look at for a while.

Which Jetfire?

I'm assuming the one that's been around at least 20 years.

The Macross copy?

I only have the Macross original. :)

Anyway, i have the Classics Jetfire. I like the helmet gimmick. I initially didn't know he's wearing a helmet. Until a few days after. And only after i've seen Seibertron galleries, and wonder why the head is different!

Classicc Megatron's viewable scope is a neat gimmick. I just wish they made some kind of magnification to it.
