the takara g1 reissue just came at my door and in my half hour of sticker applying, transforming (very stiff figure btw) i learned some stuff about him, for example, when soundwave is transformed and lazerbeak isnt, you can fit lazers cannons in soundwaves compartment and when they are both in disguise you can put lazers cannons in the screw holes on the back of soundy. but one question, where can you put soundy's missile thing when he's in disguise?
p.s. awesome figure, best one so far

Nowhere. G1 toys didn't generally have parts storage in mind.
I've shoved them in his battery compartment in robot mode, but when the batteries go there in the alt... yeah.

Those are designed to go into the back pocket. Left cheek.

Pockets FTW!
Sorry, I have a thing about pockets. Ask my friends.

In my case, i always leave the missiles at home. Mostly, i never take them out of the box. Unless it forms a necessary part of the weapon. Like Classics Starscream.

You can try and fit the rockets in with the cassette weapons in his back but good luck!
Also if your going that route, you know his guns are batteries, so you may run into more loose parts than you expect(a common G1 flaw).
But let me ask you something. I see this figure sporaticly in retail, Normaly I'd get two, but I have a G1 in good shape and at $40, I can't see shelling for a second just yet.
But anyhow, everytime I see this figure, SoundWave himself is packaged backwards, meaning when you open the bow flap you see the back of the cassette deck. Did your's come this way, or do I live in FLUKESVILLE here?

well if you had soundblaster or hasbro reissuewave, then i would reccomend putting a tape in front and hiding the chrome extension behind the tape. you can do this on taraka wave, but you see the gun going diagonaly in his chest and any cassetticons must roam free

I'd prefer afraid
But seriously, is him being packaged backwards something widespread?

Feels like the dealer has opened it somehow.

I read somewhere that the entire second "batch" of TRU Soundwave reissues were shipped from the factory backwards, so that's normal. I don't know if it improves the value or not for MISB collectors, but it's normal.

What's the purpose of packing him backwards?
