No more Soundwaves!

I have officially completed my Soundwave collecting.

First I got "Cassette Man" back in 1984. I always wanted a "real" Soundwave though as mine didn't have that cool Decepticon logo, plus it said Cassette Man on the the front!

According to "Transformers, The Ultimate Guide" this was the pre G1 Soundwave. So I guess I actually had the original all along.

Last summer I got Titanium Soundwave. I never liked his look, but I got him merely for nostalgia purposes.

Last month I got the TRU Commemorative Edition off Ebay. I had been searching for him for a while. Very nice packaging, but I'm not quite a fan of the double cassette deck.

Finally today I got my Encore 03 Soundwave. At last, what I have been really wanting for 20+ years! I just learned about the Encore series a few weeks ago. Otherwise I would have skipped the Titanium and Commemorative versions. Especially since this was such a good price!

But now that I have them all, I'll most likely keep them!

Anyways, here's a pic.

ps. I stuck the rub sign on Cassette Man when I was kid. It's there to stay now. :)

Thats alot of soundwaves.

You arent tempted by Cybertron Soundwave, or the MP3 Soundwave?

...what about the animated soundwave due next year?

know that I think of it, Soundwave sees about as many molds as anyone save for maybe Prime and Megs

I took a BIG break from Transformers for about 15 years so I'm not quite sure about the other series, generations, new stuff etc.. I do know that I love Generation 1 figures, so that's where the majority of my interest ($$) is going. Plus I need to draw the line somewhere.

Maybe if they came out with a Masterpiece Soundwave, but I couldn't even image how they would improve such a simple and classic figure. (besides making him a real mp3 player)

Heh, I also have the original G1 Soundwave (not the original original Cassette Man though), and he's a little weak in the knees, but he still rocks. I'd love to get Cybertron Soundwave. I've pre-ordered Music Label Soundwave simply because he would be a perfect fit with my Classics collection, plus he really DOES play music, haha!

Not to forget World's Smallest Soundwave and the statue versions from the SCF and History lines. If you're feeling creative you could always make this guy too:
