Post-hunt depression. Any other toylines worth looking into?

Well friends, I hate to say it, but my hunt for TF movie toys is coming to an end. I got everyone I wanted from the movie from before I began this toy hunt in early August. And it's thanks to you fine folks here on
seibertron.com that I was able to find some of these awesome toys.

All I'm missing now is the special Bumblebee 2-pack from Target. I'm almost sad that this toy hunt of mine will soon come to a close. It was fun hunting! But now every time I visit Target, I see nothing but toys I already own (Leader Megs, Leader Prime, Voyager Ironhide, etc.) I feel..... hmm.. incomplete as I walk out the toystore with nothing, since all the TF toys they have, I already have (or am not interested in like the TECH stuff.)
So my question now is, do you recommend I look into any of the following toylines:
- Classics
- Titanium Diecasts
I already have a few classics. Friend bought me Starscream for Christmas last winter, and this week I stumbled upon Hotrod, Grimlock, and Optimus Prime. Bought all 3 and now have a total of 4 classics. I'm happy with my purchases of classics.
1.
Classics - Who else do you recommend I get?
2.
Titanium - Are these toys even worth looking into? If so, who would you recommend? (The only ones that really caught my eye were Scourge and Rodimus, but I'm still thinking it over.)

Classics: er, all of them. You've already bought Grimlock, so everything else is an improvement.
Titanium: wouldn't bother, personally. Not been impressed by them at all.

The Ultra Magnus vs Skywarp Classics double pack is most definitely worth getting man, Skywarp blows Starscream out of the sky in my opinion, Ramjet is also very cool.
I have never been flustered by the Titaniums and as such do not own any so i will reserve that part for someone that does own them.

Definitely get some Classics. I picked up everyone but Cliffjumper and don't regret any of them.

Definitely Classics. Personally I picked them all up except for Devastator and the mini-guys. I was a little disappointed in Starscream, the plastic and paint apps are very cheaply done but otherwise the figures are all great. Skywarp and Jetfire in particular.

Now that the Classics has caught on and are tough to find, I suggest you join the rest of the frustrated hunters (like me) and try to find those. As I said before, I get more and more inpressed the more I pick up. Jetfire was my latest (and greatest) find so far. And the prices make it fun and affordable.

No desire to collect the repaints? Thundercracker and the G1 group? Hmm...
Well, I kinda know what you're going at. I'm done with the alts and thought I was done collecting for a while. But now I've gotten into the 25th GI Joe series.
TF wise, the Classics are cool, you can't go wrong with any of them really. The Titaniums are hit and miss, I own Thundercracker and War Within Prime. Keep looking at Scourge but he's too small to put with my Alts.

I got Classics Jetfire at Wal*Mart last night. Excellent figure if you want a neat G1-based toy or just a kickass transformer. Ramjet is also very well done. Can't go wrong with either.
As for Titanium, Rodimus is a great display piece.
There's a US edition of Masterpiece Starscream coming out soon. It's really cool, from the looks of it. BBTS has a lot of Japanese Beast Wars figures for awesome prices, if you're interested.

maybe opening all those toys up and playing with them will help you in your depression?

You know, that line has so much promise, but you're right; the Titaniums I own (OP/Megatron War Within, RID OP) are all pretty mehhhh. G1-style UM looks good and I'd get it if I saw it, but that's it.
I've about hit the "I have all this already" stage since I'm not travelling as much anymore, but it's all good.

Thanks guys, will look into Ramjet and Jetfire the next time I see them! (They still pop up every 2 weeks or so in TRU shipments, and Ramjet is always in the cases they get. Don't know about Jetfire.) As for Skywarp/Magnus, I'm sure they're long gone in Target stores, so I'll have to just get it off ebay. Average price seems like it's $30. (Was expecting more.)
But thanks everyone, for your input on classics and titaniums. I think I'll do just that, and save the money I would've used on Titaniums.

I got Jazz and Starscream (or rather, my brother got them) and I've been thinking over Ratchet and Thundercracker. (Just can't find em. lol)

LOL Don't worry man, already did. This picture was taken before my brother and I went through a toy-opening spree! :)

Aww, hell yeah man! Thanks for the heads up! Been wanting some bots like Quickstrike for awhile now. I'll look into those as well.

Glad to be of help.
May I also suggest Corhada? I've wanted one since I was ten years old and saw it on BWTF. When I finally got it from BBTS, I was definitely impressed.

There are sooo many lines to choose from, and if you like the movie line, then you'll certainly like the classics line.. it's G-1ish..
I personally think the Beast Wars Reissues online would be a good bet, then there is cybertron, energon and armada.. there is soo much to choose from.. It's really all about what you fancy as the most interesting line to own.. my brother is nothing but Beast Wars and Movie stuff.. while me personally, I'm after a little bit from each series, mainly the Unicron trilogy stuff..so I'm not really a big help..
I want to get about 15 figures from each series, give or take a few, except G-1, I already have most of what I want from that line up..

You need to get some 25th anniversary G.I. Joes to go with your Transformers. Why stick to just one franchise?
And, what everyone else said: Get all the Classics you can. And then get some more.

Classics will perk you up.
Maybe even head down to Dollar General and pick up the Energon figures they have available.

Picked up Carded Cobra Commander today. I like him a lot more than the Combat fatigues version in the Five Pack. But maybe that's cause he's the version I had as a kid.

Definitely get Jetfire! I love it. I got him the other day, along with three other Classics. They probably had ten Jetfires! I hit the motherload that day, and I didn't even buy everything I wanted.

go the classics route with Universe line coming out next fall you will regret not doing it now while its easier to get. The new molds in the Universe line will really perk up your interest in the classics line.
Very display worthy in my mind.

Classics Jetfire totally made me moist in my special places. I totally agree.

That's part of his special technologies.

I totally agree. There are quite a few gems in both the Energon and Cybertron lines. I highly recommend getting Cybertron Primus, since he seems to be readily available at TRU and Walmart.
As far as the Classics line goes - get 'em all, even Cliffjumper. I'd also try to snare some of the 07 Botcon exclusives before they become even more scarce.
As for Titaniums, as others have said, they tend to be hit or miss, but here are ones that I have an am pleased with (they are a part of my classics collection):
Rodimus Prime
Scourge
G1 Ultra Magnus
War Within Sunstorm
War Within Megatron
All of these are solid and don't suffer too much from weak/loose joints. Soundwave is good too, if you don't mind that he's wearing Depends. I personally splurged and got the blue music label figure...

Ah, okay. Thanks for your input on Titaniums man. The G1 2010 guys mainly interest me. (Scourge, Magnus, Rodimus)
Okay, I saw today at TRU the box set of "Ultimate Battle" with Prime and Megs and the DVD.
... Yay or nay?
If it's not all that great, I'm gonna use the money on the Magnus/Skywarp set on ebay.

SkyWarp/Magnus set over the Meg/Prime set, for sure!
Hold out on the meg/prime, I've seen those on clearance for $10 or less around here, but snatch that Skywarp/Magnus pack any chance you get.
Skywarp is probably one of the best Classics figure there is. Ultra Magnus isn't too bad, either.

I vote 'Nay.' Cheap figures. Lame DVD. Stick with the Voyagers and Deluxes.
