This is a Vector Prime Love thread. I love My vector prime, he is the Baddest Transformers toy I have ever owned, and I'm sorry to say, even though he is a Star Wars space ship, he's still really kickass! I love the colors, the robot mode, the sword, the head sculpt. this is an exceptional toy. I am just proud of this design, he's a knight from Cybertron!! i mean, how cool is that!!!
In my humble opinion, he is one of the best Transformers in the entire Cybertron series, heck maybe even the entire Unicron Trilogy transformers series thus far.. Wow!!
Shame he dies, but he does make an appearance like Obi Wan Kenobi so it's all good!! Vector Prime, from Skywarp-2 on seibertron, I salute you!!!

Here is a cool tribute video i found on Youtube to the death of Vector Prime..it's a little much for a cartoon character to be receiving, but nicely done anyway..

I replaced my Cybertron GF Vector Prime spot on my top 10 list few topics ago with Dark Scorponok. On top of that, i chose the gold version cause it was cheaper than Takara's version. In anycase, Vector Prime still rocks...and thanks for the unintentional spoiler. (still got like 30eps to catch)
Thanks Vector Prime.

Other than Hasbro's decision to give him a bendy sword and wins, there is nothing wrong with this figure; he has 2 great modes, high level of detailing, a decent colour scheme, he is fairly large for his price point, has a cool minicon, a Sword and a sound gimmick that can easily be switched off.

I like his blue face for some reason. But I do wish his sword weren't bent....

Told ya so.

Glad you like it. I agree, he is the best of the series, with the exception of the gods. Glad you decided to go with the Takara version. It really is much better.

I stayed out of the Unicron Trilogy, but after seeing the great toy of Vector Prime, he definitely goes on my wish list

yes indeed, he certainly lives up to the hype and then some, I am a happy camper indeed!!! I really wasn't interested in the Hasbro version.. and this version will ook great next to my Takara Primus Figure, if I can ever find him under 200.00 that is...

He was the first cybertron figure I ever got he was sitting next to crumplezone and looked at both of them and picked vector prime. I haven't ever regreted having him unlike some of Unicron Trilogy figures Energon prime cough cough.

A nice figure if not a little simplistic. However, anyone as enthusiatic about this figure as Skywarp-2 should get their hands on the Takara version it is far superior to the Hasbro version, no bendy sword and wings better paint apps. If you love the character so much anon the basis of the Cybertron toy and series you are doing yourself a massive diservice, download the GF subs and get the GF version, honestly you'll thank me.

I like my Gold Vector Prime. His cybertron key is useless, but his is a cool figure. He's a friggin' starship, how can he not be?

YES!!! I love it!! I still think the Gold version is nice though, and I may still pick him up, he's been seen going for about $24.00 on the "Bay", but I might find him cheaper still since he's a fairly new release or still "in stock" at some of the mass retailers online..
I gotta say, the resculpted Botcon Alpha Trion figure was a nice redeco, and resculpted head...but the pure white just makes him look less detailed IMHO, if you compare his colors to that of the Takara Galaxy Force release, it really makes you kinda wonder why they didn't choose to go with a more subtle under color, silver, or the Greyish silver white of TAKARA'S Vector Prime, instead of shock white??
Now, here is a question I've been wondering since the issues regarding Hasbro's Version and the Galaxy Force Takara version had surfaced... Does the Botcon Alpha Trion use the Takara Molds, no bendy swords and wing issues, or did they use the Hasbro Version as the base for the new figure????

This is probably going to get me murderized in this thread, but I wasn't too impressed with Vector Prime. In fact, he's one of the few TFs I really regret purchasing. Too simplistic transformation and just seems lacking to me. Maybe it's cause I got the Hasbro version and the swords and wings bend at the slightest hint of a breeze, but I'm really not that impressed with him.

The mold on both figures, Hasbro and Takara is the same.
The plastic is softer on the Hasbro version.
Alpha Trion uses the softer plastic, though it's not anywhere as bad as the original US release of VP.

Agreed. A3, is not even close to as bendy. Being a G1 fan, and likig Vector Prime, I really think you would LOVE A3.

thats ok Robbo....when I am king, you'll be first against the wall...
Kidding...
yeah, the Transformation is simplistic, but the Takara Version, which I now Own, is really a nice figure indeed, and ok, so his transformation is a bit easy, it's not that, that impressed me, it was the design aesthetics and colors, and the fact that he looks like a freaking Knight but in a Space sorta way!! it's really an interesting take on Knights and spaceships rolled into one cool figure!! It brings a sort of history to the universe of Cybertron, one in which I can even envision Sentinel Prime on a throne as king with Vector Prime next to him as his Lancelot, and their home of Camelot...errrr.... Cybertron..defending evil around the universe and expanding their empires to Gigantion, Speed Planet, Jungle world and beyond... until billions of eons passed...and we begin with Cybertron Cartoon...
Man oh man that really makes me hunger for a Hugeass Sentinel Prime with "the Fallen" as his main archenemy!!
Sigh... dreams...
Vector Prime is a Knight.. and I like it!!!

Vector Prime is an example of style over substance. He forgoes a complex transformation for buckets of detail. The gears and cogs everywhere look great. I have the Takara version and do not regret the slight extra expense.

Perhaps if I gave him a wash, brought out some more detailing, I'd like him more. I guess I just prefer more complex transformations in my TFs.
Although, now that I'm thinking of him as a knight, he is a fair bit more intreguing...

Yeah, he's like the last knight from the round table, or the stoic crusader knight in Indiana Jones, Keeper of the secret Grail of Cybertron's Cyber-planet keys...that concept lends him to be just cool in itself.. and yeah a wash may bring out the detail better, he's chock full of detail.. the bright white really does nothing for him..nor the dark maroon colors underneath the armor..
Just look at this pose of him...he's in armor, his wings form a cape, on one hand he has his rune engraved sword, on the other an arm blaster, he's a space Knight!! he'll strike with the sword, then blast you in the face with his arm canon and all with honor and valor!!! I love it!!!

not that they ever showed this int he cartoon, but he could kick his enemy in the head, and fire off some rounds from his toes guns into their skull, killing his opponent instantly.. use your imagination..

LOL! Vector Prime is such a piece of crap. Super lame alternate mode, retarded (and almost non-existing) transformation, annoying sounds, fugly deco (all 3 versions), bendy wings & bendy sword on the NA version. Easily the worst Transformer from the Unicron trilogy.
